Through the network sharing program Grass, users can sell any extra bandwidth they don’t need. In situations where intermediaries engage in exploitative practices to capture value from parties transferring resources, Grass offers an equitable solution that involves active participation from both parties in the network.
Grass has stated that it would introduce a governance token in the future and has raised a total of $4.5 million from investors including Polychain Capital and Tribe Capital. A scoring system has been implemented, whereby individuals who register, install the extension, and utilize Grass will accrue points. Receive an additional 20% of the points from friends you refer, 10% from the secondary referee, and 5% from the tertiary referee.
