Based on Proof-of-Liquidity consensus, Berachain is a high-performance blockchain that is compatible with EVMs. In order to match network incentives and foster strong synergy between Berachain validators and the ecosystem of projects, Proof-of-Liquidity is a revolutionary consensus technique. Polaris, a high-performance blockchain framework for creating EVM-compatible chains on top of the CometBFT consensus engine, is the foundation upon which Berachain’s technology is based.
With the help of investors like Polychain Capital and dao5, Berachain has successfully collected a staggering $42 million in funding and announced the launch of their own coin, “BERA.” A testnet named Artio has been launched, and users that take advantage of it will probably be qualified for a BERA airdrop once the token becomes live.
Status: Airdrop unconfirmed
Step-by-Step Guide:
- Go to the dApps page for the Berachain testnet.
- To obtain testnet BERA coins, click the faucet icon in the upper right corner.
- Go to Berachain’s Dex now.
- Link your pocketbook.
- Switch to the Berachain testnet network.
- To exchange BERA for some HONEY and other tokens, go to “Swap.”
- Proceed to “Pools” and supply water.
- Visit “Honey” now to start minting HONEY tokens.
- Go to Berachain’s leverage trading platform, BERPS.
- Link your pocketbook.
- Trade both long and short.
- Proceed to “Vaults” and plant some honey.
- Visit “BEND” at this point to provide or borrow assets.
- The three coins on Berachain are BERA, BGT, and HONEY.
- While BGT is a governance token that can only be obtained by putting liquidity into the local BEX, BERA is the network token that would be used to pay for gas and other expenses. Additionally, BGT may be burned 1:1 for BERA, and Berachain’s stablecoin is called HONEY.
- A BERA airdrop would probably be sent to testnet users when the mainnet launches.
Please be aware that there is no assurance that early users will receive an airdrop. That’s just conjecture.
