Commercial Manager – Role and Responsibilities – Sales \/ Marketing \/ New Business \/ Business Development \/ Account Management \/ Engineering \/ Manufacturing \/ Project Management<\/p>\n
* Marketing activity to develop leads (trade shows, exhibitions, marketing literature, etc.)
* Write bids and proposals to turn those leads into orders
* To be a pivotal point of contact for the pre-sale customer, working in close alignment with all supporting departments and functions internally
* Establish and deliver a robust project plan in accordance with the customer to hand over to the project management team once an order has been secured
* Use market knowledge to anticipate change and help the business to adapt and seize commercial opportunities
* Achieving favourable commercial terms on orders<\/p>\n

* Strong business acumen, always looking for commercial opportunities, with experience of project management, commercial management and proposal writing
* 5+ years’ experience in a similar commercial role at an engineering or manufacturing company
* An engineering qualification
* Have the ability to liaise with all levels of management on a professional level
* Organisational skills are essential as you will be responsible for managing your own workload
* Be prepared to travel and occasionally work unsociable hours to suit the business<\/p>\n
