\u00a340,000 per annum<br \/>\n<b>Date Added:<\/b> 28\/03\/2024<\/p>\n<p><strong>Hobbycraft<\/strong> have an exciting opportunity for a&nbsp;<strong>Operations Team Manager <\/strong>based at our Distribution Centre in <strong>Burton upon Trent<\/strong> on a<strong> full-time, permanent basis (37.5 hours a week) In return you will receive a competitive salary from&nbsp;&#163;38k to &#163;40k depending on skills and experience.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>About the Role:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced manager to join our team, playing a key role in driving our business forward and supporting the company\u2019s growth.<\/p>\n<p>Operations Team Managers drive, manage, and support the operational team to ensure that all KPIs in relation to safety, efficiency and cost are met.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Responsibilities as our Operations Team Manager:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The management of a variety of Distribution Centre functions including Goods Inwards, Put-away, Picking, Replenishment, and Dispatch<\/li>\n<li>Effective leadership of First Line Managers, Team Leaders, and Warehouse Colleagues<\/li>\n<li>Motivating staff and driving a culture of health and safety and continuous improvement<\/li>\n<li>Ensuring that all tasks are undertaken safely and are completed to schedule by appropriately trained colleagues.<\/li>\n<li>Management of stock movements using the NAVISION (WMS) system<\/li>\n<li>Reporting as directed on the performance of the various teams within the shift, focusing on meeting agreed targets and goals and taking appropriate corrective action(s)<\/li>\n<li>Certify the accurate and punctual recording and presentation of key cost drivers to meet budgeted expectations.<\/li>\n<li>To strive to meet if not exceed the budgeted KPI\u2019s with awareness of the financial implications of decision making<\/li>\n<li>To be a sounding board for new ideas and encourage both managers and colleagues to identify new ways of working<\/li>\n<li>To maintain and improve colleague engagement resolving issues in a timely manner and ensuring regular and effective feedback to colleagues at all levels<\/li>\n<li>Owning and driving effective performance management to support the delivery of site KPIs<\/li>\n<li>Ensuring that policies and procedures are followed including health and safety, absence and performance management<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>What we are looking for in our&nbsp;Operations Team Manager:&nbsp;<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>5 years minimum experience of managing a team of 80 \u2013 100 warehouse colleagues preferably in a 3PL Retail environment or in-house retail environment.<\/li>\n<li>Significant experience of warehouse management systems<\/li>\n<li>A thorough understanding of inventory control and stock movements<\/li>\n<li>Understanding of lean methodology<\/li>\n<li>Resource planning<\/li>\n<li>Strong written, verbal communication skills &amp;
