Not only will they be an expert in a variety of engineering and technical disciplines, but they will also act as the technical  ambassador for Television Centre, its occupiers and customers. <\/p>\n<p>A client and customer facing role, the Senior Engineering &amp; Energy Manager is required to establish, implement and maintain effective management of systems and procedures in the delivery and continuity of service of the Mechanical, Electrical, VT, Public  Health and IT Infrastructure Services and Energy performance across the development, while protecting and enhancing the landlord\u2019s assets. The Senior Engineering &amp; Energy Manager, contributes to the management of Health, Safety and Wellbeing for all users  of the Estate. <\/p>\n<p>The Senior Engineering &amp; Energy Manager will report into the Client Services Director and work alongside &amp; collaborate with the property team onsite , deputising where necessary. They will provide strategic technical direction, strong leadership, as well  as operational planning and solutions covering MEP, VT operations and Energy Management with a view to providing a world class service. <\/p>\n<p>As a strong communicator, they will act as the Managing Agent interface for technical activity with the assistance and support as required by the Central Engineering and Operations team.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Key Responsibilities<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Leadership &amp; People Management <\/strong><\/p>\n<p>\u2022 Demonstrate their ability as a proven leader of people, capable of getting the most out of their multi-disciplinary team including the technical supply chain.<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 Understand the mutual and strategic goal for the building and the client.<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 Provide outstanding leadership to maintain an exceptionally high standard of service delivery encompassing technical innovation, sustainability and customer focus.<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 Foster a culture of energy conservation and sustainability awareness within engineering team through education, coaching and performance management. <\/p>\n<p>Ensure that the sustainability agenda is fully embraced with the team and that they are fully aware of the drivers for change. <\/p>\n<p><strong>Operational\/Technical<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>\u2022 Oversee and be responsible for the delivery of technical services operations across the estate through the technical services compliance teams and service partners. <\/p>\n<p>\u2022 Oversee and be responsible for the delivery of electrical\/technical services operations across the technical services teams and service partners. Ensure that each technical asset is managed and maintained in a proactive and customer focused manner that  is cost effective and reliable. <\/p>\n<p>\u2022 Produce and constantly review monthly energy profile to provide clear reporting on the data explaining any variations. <\/p>\n<p>\u2022 Ensure the agreed CAFM system is implemented, reporting functionality is used by all departments and reported monthly in line with business guidelines, with any failures to comply escalated to the Estate Director within monthly reporting criteria. <\/p>\n<p>\u2022 Prepare and manage engineering service charge budgets and ensure effective budget control including the preparation of relevant specifications, raising orders, instructions, contracts and verifying (processing) invoices are in place and management is always  in line with business guidelines and expectations. <\/p>\n<p>\u2022 Develop, implement and manage environmental and energy conservation programmes ensuring optimum usage of energy by utilising the systems available.<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 Understand the clients ESG strategy and goals including the overall asset Management strategy<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 Promote and enable a culture of improvement, encouraging and motivating property management teams to go above and beyond the minimum sustainability standards. <\/p>\n<p>\u2022 Implement energy management initiatives, including recommendations from decarbonisation studies and smart optimisation programmes. <\/p>\n<p>\u2022 Drive a culture of energy management across both the Engineering management and service partner functions, with a particular focus on the smart platforms available ensuring optimisation at all times. <\/p>\n<p>\u2022 Attend customer ESG meetings to support ESG Assistant Manager and promote ESG initiatives generally while providing a particular focus on energy performance across the development with multiple stake holders. <\/p>\n<p>\u2022 Review building energy analytics to adjust system settings to optimise energy use. To lead on energy conservation by identifying and implementing various options for saving energy<\/p>\n<p>Implement energy management initiatives, including recommendations from decarbonisation studies and smart optimisation programmes.<\/p>\n<p><strong>MEP<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>\u2022 Develop, implement, and maintain maintenance strategies and systems for the building, facilities and public realm area.<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 By instructing the establishment of a strong Pre Planned Maintenance (PPM) strategy, the use of KPIs, industry best practices and contract management techniques, ensure compliance with statutory obligations, manufacturer\u2019s warranty requirements and obligations  set by our client and customers.<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 Ensure adherence to, on behalf of the Landlord and occupiers, the technical obligations within the occupier lease agreements.<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 Manage all latent base build defects ensuring the information on the defect is sent to the relevant parties until the defect is rectified.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Fabric Management <\/strong><\/p>\n<p>\u2022 Support the fabric management team and property manager to deliver the building fabric and ensure the fabric is maintained according to the design specification required and works by the technical team do not compromise this. <\/p>\n<p><strong>ICT <\/strong><\/p>\n<p>\u2022 Ensure that all ICT systems including converged network, telephony, local systems at asset level (access control systems, CCTV, desk top PCs etc.) are compliant with statutory and data protection obligations including GDPR and support the business need.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Customer Orientation\/Stakeholder Engagement<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>\u2022 Understand the asset\u2019s ESG KPIs and how the asset is currently performing against these (energy, carbon, water).<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 Commercial awareness, business acumen<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 Work with the wider team to support the client\u2019s events and community programmes from a technical perspective. <\/p>\n<p>\u2022 Ensure that good relations with all key stakeholders are established and maintained.<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 Advise the Estate Director immediately of any potential threats or reputational damage, major incidents or accidents resulting from an issue with the technical aspects of the building.
