Salary is negotiable by experience plus bonus and benefits.<\/p>\n<p>Working Monday to Friday 37 hours per week, based within a workshop environment working with a small team of fitter\/engineers specialising in repairs and maintenance of various types of pumps.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Responsibilities: <\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Assessment of rotating equipment and evaluating repairs.<\/li>\n<li>Rebuilding pumps, gearboxes, fans and other rotating equipment<\/li>\n<li>Using micrometers and use a DTI checking radial and axial measurements<\/li>\n<li>Liaise with customers and suppliers, complete accurate costing sheets, and collaborate with the supervisor to provide timely quotations.<\/li>\n<li>Ensure health, safety, and environmental compliance in all workshop activities and able to write root cause failure reports<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Skills and Experience for the Workshop Mechanical Fitter role: <\/strong> <\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Experience in repairing a range of pumps, including centrifugal and multi-stage pumps etc.<\/li>\n<li>Good understanding of pump components, such as volute, impeller, driveshaft, wear rings, bearing housing, bearings, and mechanical seals.<\/li>\n<li>Proficient in measuring equipment, capable of reading micrometers and internal mics, and using a DTI to check radial and axial measurements.<\/li>\n<li>Understanding of bearing and bore fits (e.g., J6\/H6), wear ring clearances, and interpreting engineering drawings.<\/li>\n<li>Familiarity with laser alignment techniques.<\/li>\n<li>Qualified or apprentice-trained with an NVQ Level 3 certification.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>For further information for the Workshop Mechanical Fitter<\/p>\n<p>role and to apply, submit your CV or apply via our FINTEC recruit website<\/p>\n<p><b>Application Deadline:<\/b> 30\/04\/2024<br \/>\n<b>Contract Type:<\/b> Permanent<br \/>\n<b>Submitted Applications:<\/b> 5<\/p>\n<p><a class='btn btn-block btn-primary theme-btn-primary' style='text-align: center; text-decoration: none; margin: auto 0;width: 100%;' href='https:\/\/www.reed.co.uk\/jobs\/workshop-mechanical-fitter\/52215575' target='_blank' rel=\"noopener\"> Apply Now <\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Employer: FINTEC Recruit Salary: Date Added: 28\/02\/2024 We are hiring for a Workshop Mechanical Fitter, this is a permanent role based in Warrington.
