Looking after both off the shelf and bespoke applications.<\/p>\n<p>With a handful of direct reports and teams under them, a large proportion of the Development resource is outsourced and therefore you&#8217;d be responsible for managing those 3rd party and vendor relationships.<\/p>\n<p>Core Responsibilities:<\/p>\n<p>* To Lead and Manager the IT Applications &amp; Development team, ensuring the efficient and timely delivery of projects.<br \/>* Managing the delivery of multiple Software initiatives and projects. Overseeing the design, development, testing and deployment of applications<br \/>* Define &amp; implement best practice, methodologies and standards for software development, deployment &amp; release management <br \/>* Be an example and lead from the front for software delivery, showcasing the benefits of Agile &amp; Scrum &#8211; assisting other teams to transition. <br \/>* Manage the relationship with 3rd party resources and vendors, holding them accountable to deliverable agreed.<br \/>* Have a strong technical background and deep understanding of software development methodologies. <\/p>\n<p>This is a varied role with a large emphasis on the delivery of multiple projects and new initiatives.
