Group Technical Manager role based in Knowsley. Leadership role, working for a growing manufacturing company across multiple sites in the North West<\/p>\n
Client Details<\/strong><\/p>\n Our client is a growing manufacturing company based in Knowsley, with sites across North West.<\/p>\n Description<\/strong><\/p>\n * Deliver new product innovations to meet future legislation requirements and drive innovation within the design department.<\/p>\n * Identify & partner with key suppliers to identify new alternative materials & technologies for our existing & new products<\/p>\n * Become the "In-House" expert on materials<\/p>\n * Working with commercial create business partnerships with key customers architects, engineering departments etc.<\/p>\n * Responsible for creation & maintenance of BOM’s, routes & loading data into ERP system<\/p>\n * Creation & management of an NPI process, end to end.<\/p>\n * Leading Product design, specification and design maintenance activity across multiple sites<\/p>\n * Project management of multiple small to medium projects Provision of engineering support for specific applications enquiries. Create and manage the annual yearly budget for the technical office.<\/p>\n * Assist in continuous improvement throughout the company.<\/p>\n * Estimate project and task hours and manage work through the company processes.<\/p>\n * Provide technical and engineering support to the team.<\/p>\n * Ensure the Engineering team are working in conjunction with ISO9001 QMS.<\/p>\n * Performance Management of the team to meet project targets, KPIs and ensure their own personal development.<\/p>\n * All subcontract work to be managed including but not limited to products\/components manufactured and suppliers\/subcontractors to be carefully monitored.<\/p>\n * Management of the design & drafting team<\/p>\n Profile<\/strong><\/p>\n * You must have a technical design \/ engineering background in steel, glass reinforced plastics or resins manufacturing<\/p>\n * Customer facing experience gained in a manufacturing industry.<\/p>\n * Customer focused with good commercial awareness.<\/p>\n * SolidWorks 3D and 2D experience.<\/p>\n * Experience of design release and management in an ERP system working to ISO9001 standards.<\/p>\n * Design for manufacture experience.<\/p>\n * Project planning & project management experience.<\/p>\n * Mechanical or materials Engineering degree. Preferably to MEng level or equivalent. Chemical engineering also considered<\/p>\n * Forward thinking, eye on future technologies & potential new products<\/p>\n * Ability to work well as part of a team and be a flexible team player, as well as being selfmotivated and eager to learn.<\/p>\n * Highly organised with strong attention to detail and be able to multitask & prioritise based on the needs of the business.<\/p>\n * Computer literate<\/p>\n * Excellent organisational, planning and problem-solving skills.<\/p>\n Job Offer<\/strong><\/p>\n £65,000 to £70,000 plus bonus, car \/ car allowance and benefits<\/p>\n Application Deadline:<\/b> 04\/04\/2024
