They are a world leader in power quality products, IoT devices and refrigeration controls with manufacturing in the UK, Middle East and Far East. Our Client is currently looking to recruit  a Technical Engineer for their R&amp;D department.<\/p>\n<p> <strong>Duties<\/strong> <\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>To support the R&amp;D team with new and existing products.<\/li>\n<li>Design validation of new products.<\/li>\n<li>Evaluation of new components.<\/li>\n<li>Building prototypes.<\/li>\n<li>Investigations and failure analysis.<\/li>\n<li>Fault finding on PCBs and products.<\/li>\n<li>Making up cable harnesses and test jigs.<\/li>\n<li>Uploading firmware into products and using configuration software.<\/li>\n<li>Assisting the design engineers with new product development.<\/li>\n<li>Pre-compliance testing of products including EMC and temperature testing.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p> <strong>Requirements<\/strong> <\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Candidates should be qualified to HND or higher level in Electrical and Electronic Engineering, Telecommunications or a similar discipline.<\/li>\n<li>Solid practical experience (at least 5 years) in working with electronic products.<\/li>\n<li>A good understanding of electronic circuits and ability to read schematic diagrams.<\/li>\n<li>Proficiency in using hand tools, soldering components, crimping cables, and electronic test equipment.<\/li>\n<li>Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.<\/li>\n<li>Excellent problem-solving skills and a positive attitude.<\/li>\n<li>Self-motivated, well-organized, and proficient in task and time management.<\/li>\n<li>Flexibility in task allocation and reporting to the Engineering Manager.<\/li>\n<li>Able to work at our client&#8217;s head office in Langley on a daily basis.<\/li>\n<li>Eligible to work in the UK.<\/li>\n<li>Working hours: Monday to Friday, 9:00am to 5:30pm with an hour for lunch.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p> <strong>Benefits<\/strong> <\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Opportunity to work with and learn about a wide range of OEM and Voltage Protection products.<\/li>\n<li>Work in a 20&#43; strong multi-disciplinary R&amp;D team with diverse skills.<\/li>\n<li>Training provided on our clients products and in-house test equipment.<\/li>\n<li>A friendly atmosphere and mutual support within a culturally diverse team and company.<\/li>\n<li>Engagement with multinational companies, aid agencies, UK wind farms, and projects for the developing world.<\/li>\n<li>22 days of annual leave plus an additional discretionary 3 days at Christmas.
