We are a successful business consultancy based in Fanham, who due to expansion are looking for a Part Time Financial Controller. The role will support the executive team with the provision of accurate, financial reports, budgeting and forecasting, managing a small team. We offer a salary of £50 to £65k pro rata working between 22.5 to 30 hours per week, which is equivalent to an annual salary of £30 to £52k dependent on the part time hours worked and salary offered. In additional, we offer 33 days holiday including bank holidays, company pension, private medical cover for you and your partner, death in service, plus limited on-site parking.<\/p>\n
As a key member of our operations team, you will support the delivery of these services to our clients by being responsible for all financial operations and overseeing the smooth running of our back-office operations. This will include working with management to help develop our systems & processes, and in time as the team grows managing other members of the operations team.<\/p>\n
The role would suit candidates who have experience working in an SME environment with either ACA or ACCA qualifications, previous experience working with Xero, forecasting, intermediate to advanced level of Excel, multi currency trading, multi company consolidation and ideally some experience managing a small team.<\/p>\n
The key duties will be:
\u2022 Preparation of monthly management accounts, analysis and commentaries
\u2022 Balance sheet reconciliations
\u2022 Post monthly journal entries including accruals, prepayments, deferred\/accrued revenue
\u2022 Cashflows, daily responsibility of managing all company bank accounts, maintain fixed assets schedules and post depreciation.
\u2022 Reconcile balance sheet accounts monthly, including Inter-company
\u2022 Assist with preparation of statutory accounts and audit schedules
\u2022 Production of year end packs and liaising with Auditors (when appropriate)
\u2022 Prepare & run monthly payroll for staff & contractors
\u2022 Manage the company\u2019s employee benefit scheme providers & payments
\u2022 Oversee & supervise Ledger work of a Senior Finance Assistant
\u2022 Collate monthly VAT return and prepare for submission
\u2022 Prepare\/submit National Statistics Returns
\u2022 Ensure the smooth running of Finance department. control of procedures, ensure minimal errors
\u2022 Maintain positive relationship with suppliers
\u2022 Cash flows reports, forecasting and preparation of budgets
\u2022 Communicating with suppliers over chased payments.
\u2022 Set up bank payments ready for authorisation.
\u2022 Ensure Management Reporting process is organised and reported on time
\u2022 Consistently monitoring processes and systems in order to identify efficiencies and improvements
\u2022 High level checks on expenses, pension payments and contributions.
\u2022 Preparation and filing of P11Ds
\u2022 Working closely with existing CPA in the USA who will undertake all statutory Federal and State level reporting, creating all of the above with the exception of the following:
o Collate monthly VAT return (Sales Tax)
o Payroll preparation & filing
o Employee Benefits<\/p>\n
To be successful for the Part Time Financial Controller role you will have previous experience ideally in an SME environment with either ACA or ACCA with a proactive and positive approach, have excellent communication skills both written and verbal, good attention to detail, experience with Xero and an advanced level of Excel and the ability to demonstrate people management skills<\/p>\n
