You will be responsible for efficiently handling a dedicated portfolio of Complex design and construction professional indemnity claims from cradle to grave. <\/p>\n

Your responsibilities for this role may include, but are not limited to:?<\/b> <\/p>\n Proactive handling of design and construction claims from first notification of loss to settlement <\/p>\n<\/li>\n Actively working with a panel of vendors during claims incidents to deliver a quality service within required timeframes <\/p>\n<\/li>\n Establishing coverage early and communicating promptly with customers <\/p>\n<\/li>\n Ensuring prompt and accurate reserving, identifying and pursuing relevant third party recoveries and seeking to reduce claims leakage <\/p>\n<\/li>\n Managing a caseload, capturing key data and meeting service level requirements <\/p>\n<\/li>\n Understanding and implementing the Claims strategy, to enable delivery of overall business targets <\/p>\n<\/li>\n Developing good relationships with internal and external stakeholders, driving excellent customer service <\/p>\n<\/li>\n Ensuring accurate and timely update of QBE\u2019s systems as and when required <\/p>\n<\/li>\n Maintaining knowledge of the claims portfolio and providing information to others on request, to support underwriting and claims decisions <\/p>\n<\/li>\n Supporting the development of the Core team as required <\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n To be successful in this role the ideal candidate would need to demonstrate the following qualities and abilities:? <\/b> <\/p>\n Experience in a design and construction claims handling<\/p>\n<\/li>\n Able to prioritise where necessary, identify deadlines and proactively manage a caseload <\/p>\n<\/li>\n Good understanding of insurance policy wordings <\/p>\n<\/li>\n Experience in dealing with external customers, demonstrating strong negotiation skills <\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n Excellent communication skills, capable of credibly engaging with customers and vendors <\/p>\n<\/li>\n Strong investigation skills <\/p>\n<\/li>\n Confident in the use of systems and data, including producing MI <\/p>\n<\/li>\n Collaborative approach and enthusiasm <\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n It would be advantageous to have the following skills:<\/b> <\/p>\n Experience handling in other professional or financial lines claims such as, but not limited to solicitors, accountants and miscellaneous professions <\/p>\n<\/li>\n Experience with international claims <\/p>\n<\/li>\n Good understanding of Lloyd\u2019s and subscription markets <\/p>\n<\/li>\n Experience with Guidewire and ECF<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n Why QBE?
