They require a Senior Calibration Engineer or someone with experience working as a Calibration  Laboratory Manager, to join their friendly, supportive, and forward-thinking team. This a Monday to Friday role working out of there UKAS accredited laboratory based in Chesterfield, which offers a wide range of calibration tests, including Dimensional, Electrical, Mass, Force &amp; Torque across many types of instrumentation.<\/p>\n<p>The right candidate needs to have experience working preferably within a UKAS accredited laboratory and the right candidate would have a high calibration skill level and not just someone that can manage others.<\/p>\n<p><u>The ideal candidate would have: <\/u><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Minimum 10 years\u2019 experience working in a UKAS accredited laboratory.<\/li>\n<li>Minimum 15 years\u2019 experience working within the field of metrology.<\/li>\n<li>Understanding of BS ISO 17025.<\/li>\n<li>Experience in people management with proven ability to lead and manage a team.<\/li>\n<li>UKAS laboratory supervisory \/ management experience.<\/li>\n<li>Experience of producing and managing uncertainty budgets.<\/li>\n<li>Experience of managing and working to KPI\u2019s.<\/li>\n<li>Hands on calibration experience in at least one of the following fields:&nbsp; Electrical, Dimensional, Force, Torque, Mass.<\/li>\n<li>Ability to review and adopt best practice and seek out continuous improvement.<\/li>\n<li>Excellent skills in training, coaching and mentoring teams to support the laboratory.<\/li>\n<li>Science Degree in relevant subject is desirable but not essential.<\/li>\n<li>Relevant training in metrology and calibration activities.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><u>Responsibilities will include.<\/u><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Responsible to the Calibration Business Unit Manager ensuring that all laboratory activities are carried out expediently, efficiently and safely at all times.<\/li>\n<li>Day to day responsibility of the running of the laboratory.<\/li>\n<li>Leadership of the calibration laboratory team.<\/li>\n<li>Meet deadlines for clients work and assigned tasks.<\/li>\n<li>To review and look to continuously improve on current practices and efficiencies within the laboratory.<\/li>\n<li>To build strong working relationships with clients and other sites within the business.<\/li>\n<li>Drive, promote and support laboratory staff training, development and knowledge.<\/li>\n<li>Assist as required in expanding the laboratory scope.<\/li>\n<li>Perform calibrations as required.<\/li>\n<li>Working with the quality team ensure all regulatory \/ UKAS laboratory requirements are met.<\/li>\n<li>Commitment to Impartiality &amp; Confidentiality.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong><u>Previous Education &amp; Training: <\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Science Degree in a relevant subject would be desirable but not essential<\/li>\n<li>Relevant training in Metrology and calibration activities.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong><u>Employee Benefits: <\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>25 Days Holiday &#43; Bank Holidays<\/li>\n<li>Holiday Purchase Scheme<\/li>\n<li>Free Eye Tests<\/li>\n<li>Cycle 2 work scheme<\/li>\n<li>Refer a friend<\/li>\n<li>Mental Health First Aid Support<\/li>\n<li>Perkbox<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>For more information or any other details please call Jayne on or alternatively on or email your CV over to Jayne.docherty@atriumrec.uk<\/p>\n<p><strong><em>Atrium is an equal opportunity employer, and all hiring decisions are subject to international and local employment laws and regulations. &nbsp;All open positions offered by Atrium are subject to specific job requirements, however, we <\/em><\/strong><strong><em>endeavour to ensure fairness and equal opportunities.
