Members span the energy sector, suppliers, power generators, and technology\/service providers, actively engaging in policy development  to ensure fair customer treatment, high industry standards, and the transition to a Net Zero economy.<\/p>\n<p>Policy by Murray are leading the search for their first-ever Head of Business Decarbonisation, looking for someone who&#8217;s ready to shape and lead this key programme. The job involves diving into technologies, tariffs, markets, and services to help businesses  make the leap to Net Zero. You&#8217;ll be the go-to person for engaging with businesses on energy matters, collaborating with EUKs expert policy teams, and working on everything from industrial to small business decarbonisation. It&#8217;s a high profile role with a  focus on making sure businesses can access affordable, low-carbon power and tap into the latest energy efficiency tech. Reporting to the Deputy Director of Advocacy , you&#8217;ll be a key EUK representative for public platforms including at roundtables, panels  and business advisory boards, tackling issues like hydrogen and CCUS.<\/p>\n<p>This is a 2 year fixed term contract, aimed at laying the groundwork for this vital initiative and securing Energy UK&#8217;s profile a the go-to organisation for discussing business decarbonisation.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Collaborate with the Deputy Director of Advocacy, management, and executive teams to pinpoint key areas where Energy UK can lead discussions on energy-related issues in the broader non-domestic community.<\/li>\n<li>Head a new cross-cutting workstream focused on the energy sector&#8217;s role in facilitating business decarbonisation, with flexibility to identify additional areas of work based on skills and the broader environment.<\/li>\n<li>Strengthen relationships with key companies and business groups, including those in other energy trade bodies, and support existing non-domestic supply members in discussions with policymakers and business groups.<\/li>\n<li>Work closely with the membership team to attract new members involved in non-domestic energy supply, businesses aiming to decarbonise, and service providers to these members.<\/li>\n<li>Act as a spokesperson as needed and stay informed about sector issues across all policy areas, conducting horizon scanning for emerging issues or themes in the energy sector or the broader environment.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Benefits:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>EUK are a member of Climate Perks allowing employees to claim up to days for staff who travel on holiday by train, coach or boat instead of flying.<\/li>\n<li>A hybrid working environment with the opportunity to work 2\/3 days a week from home and an agile working arrangement with core hours of 10am to 4pm<\/li>\n<li>Flexible Working Arrangements available to be requested from day one of employment<\/li>\n<li>An employer&#8217;s pension contribution of 5%, Health Insurance, Annual season ticket loan<\/li>\n<li>Training &amp; Development and access to an employee assistance programme<\/li>\n<li>25 days annual holiday plus statutory holidays with the option of buying an extra 5 days a year.
