JOB DESCRIPTION:<\/strong> Technical Support Engineer, Service Engineer, Maintenance Engineer – Packaging Machinery, Food
Reporting to the Managing Director and Service Manager, you will be office based and responsible for providing remote technical support to both existing clients and the companies field service team.
There will be occasional travel to client sites to assist on installations and to the companies factories in Europe for training will be required.
You will also work closely with the UK aftersales team and manufacturing sites in Europe and will be responsible for all Health and Safety documentation.
PERSON SPECIFICATION:<\/strong> Technical Support Engineer, Service Engineer, Maintenance Engineer – Packaging Machinery, Food
\u00b7 You will ideally be a food factory Maintenance Engineer with hands on experience working with packaging or processing machinery used in the food industry looking for an office based role.
\u00b7 The company will consider an office based Technical Support Engineer or a field service engineer with experience of packaging machinery & the food industry.
\u00b7 You WILL be a qualified Multi skilled Engineer with an electrical bias and some knowledge of working with PLC`s.
\u00b7 Lastly you will be technically credible, commercially astute and a good communicator.
THE COMPANY:<\/strong>
A UK and Worldwide market leading manufacturer of packaging machinery sold into the food market. This is a very well established UK sales and service office with whom I have worked for over 12 years and placed many people with. They are a good company full of genuinely nice people.
This role is to replace the current incumbent who is retiring later in the year, so you will get a chance to train up alongside him for a few months.

There is a genuine opportunity to move into an aftersales management role in the next 2 to 3 years if successful in this position.
