Social Care<br \/>\n<b>Salary:<\/b> \u00a317.00 &#8211; \u00a320.00 per hour<br \/>\n<b>Date Added:<\/b> 03\/03\/2024<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Title: <\/strong>Family Support Worker<\/p>\n<p><strong>Company: <\/strong>Prospero Health and Social Care<\/p>\n<p><strong>Main Duties and Responsibilities:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Conduct thorough assessments to identify trauma-related issues and challenging behaviours in teenagers.<\/li>\n<li>Dealing with young people with medium to high-risk support.<\/li>\n<li>Develop and implement individualised service plans in collaboration with families, incorporating trauma-informed and behaviour management strategies.<\/li>\n<li>Provide immediate support during crises, utilising trauma-informed and de-escalation techniques.<\/li>\n<li>Develop and implement behaviour support plans, incorporating positive reinforcement and evidence-based interventions.<\/li>\n<li>Work closely with families to understand the dynamics of trauma and challenging behaviours.<\/li>\n<li>Provide education to families on trauma, its impact on behaviour, and effective strategies for fostering a positive and structured home environment.<\/li>\n<li>Advocate for adolescents and their families to ensure access to appropriate services, including mental health resources, educational support, and specialised programs.<\/li>\n<li>Collaborate with external agencies and professionals to create a holistic support network.<\/li>\n<li>Facilitate individual and group sessions to build coping skills, emotional regulation, and interpersonal relationships.<\/li>\n<li>Implement trauma-focused therapeutic interventions tailored to the unique needs of each teenager.<\/li>\n<li>Maintain accurate and confidential documentation, ensuring compliance with reporting requirements.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Qualifications:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Substantial experience working with teenagers who have experienced trauma and challenging behaviours.<\/li>\n<li>Proficiency in trauma-informed care and behaviours management strategies.<\/li>\n<li>Strong communication and crisis intervention skills.<\/li>\n<li>Ability to collaborate effectively with families, school personnel, and other professionals. <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Preferred Skills:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Certification in trauma-focused therapeutic approaches or behaviour management.<\/li>\n<li>Familiarity with evidence-based interventions for challenging behaviours in adolescents.<\/li>\n<li>Experience in a variety of therapeutic modalities, such as cognitive-behavioural therapy or dialectical behaviour therapy.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>To apply for this role:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Must <\/strong>have 1 year UK experience working with 13 &#8211;
