The <strong>ILS Engineer<\/strong> will be responsible for conducting all <strong>ILS activities<\/strong> on any Programmes that have been assigned to them. The <strong>ILS Engineer<\/strong> will develop and manage effective relationships across the breadth of the company and its customers and have the confidence to technically lead cross discipline project teams. The successful<strong> ILS Engineer<\/strong> will be  expected to bring maturity and credibility when engaging with customers, senior managers and stakeholders.<\/p>\n<p><u><strong>ILS Engineer &#8211; Key Responsibilities<\/strong><\/u><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Administer and maintain the Company DRACAS tool<\/li>\n<li>Attend both internal and external meetings, as and when required<\/li>\n<li>Carry out reliability, and maintainability assessments on the system and components<\/li>\n<li>Collate DRACAS data from all appropriate sources for the serviced project<\/li>\n<li>Create Logistics Support Analysis (LSA) data for system items of equipment<\/li>\n<li>Populate any required LSA database<\/li>\n<li>Generate Obsolescence notification forms<\/li>\n<li>Identify and report trends and problem characteristics within the incidents<\/li>\n<li>Initiate NATO codification of new and revised items of supply<\/li>\n<li>Review and assess the impact of technical queries on the system documentation<\/li>\n<li>Review and assess Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA) output.<\/li>\n<li>Review and assess availability models for the system or system LRUs<\/li>\n<li>Support the ILS Manager in the generation of estimates<\/li>\n<li>Review and assess availability models for the system or system LRUs<\/li>\n<li>Review and assess general purpose tools and test equipment for suitability<\/li>\n<li>Provide ILS input for technical documentation<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><u><strong>Technical Skills and Experience for ILS Engineer <\/strong><\/u><\/p>\n<p>We expect the incoming ILS Engineer to be able to demonstrate the following skills and capabilities:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Ability to manage conflicting priorities and timescales<\/li>\n<li>Excellent attention to detail with high accuracy<\/li>\n<li>Ability to process high volumes of work and within structured protocols<\/li>\n<li>Excellent organisational and planning skills (ability to meet tight timeframes)<\/li>\n<li>Excellent communication skills both verbal and written<\/li>\n<li>Proficient IT Skills and strong inter-personal and people management skills<\/li>\n<li>Knowledge and awareness of availability modelling<\/li>\n<li>Awareness of technical publication process<\/li>\n<li>Excellent knowledge and understanding of Reliability, Maintainability and Availability<\/li>\n<li>Good understanding of the requirements for Logistics Support Analysis (LSA) records<\/li>\n<li>Previous experience in delivering ILS Services to Defence Standards to the MOD<\/li>\n<li>Proven experience in ILS and\/or Supportability and Data Reporting<\/li>\n<li>Knowledge of analysis and Corrective Action System (DRACAS)<\/li>\n<li>Able to work effectively and proficiently either remotely or onsite<\/li>\n<li>A desire to achieve mor and with a strong work ethic and a willingness to learn new skills<\/li>\n<li>Flexible and forward-thinking approach<\/li>\n<li>Must be self-motivated with the ability to work autonomously and as part of a team<\/li>\n<li>Willingness and ability to travel in the UK and to overseas occasionally (if required)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>**Security Clearance will be required for this role and therefore only applications from candidates that hold this or able to obtain this will be considered**<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>If you feel you meet the requirements for the role of the <strong>ILS Engineer <\/strong>then apply directly or contact <strong>Peter Heap<\/strong> at Jonathan Lee Recruitment.
