DSV are recruiting for Freight Forwarder, Ocean Export Gateway in Purfleet. This role will fully meet branch expectations for safe and efficient transport of their shipments to various worldwide destinations out the UK in accordance with company policy and procedures as well as statutory requirements.<\/p>\n
Take direct ownership of branch relationships and ensure all business is implemented successfully and communication to the business is of the highest level.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n
Delivering an excellent standard of customer service is extremely important to this role.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
Key Tasks<\/strong><\/p>\n Use of Company In-House systems to complete Export documentation and operational processes.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n Organise operational workflow to meet timeframes.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n Communicate effectively with the branches to obtain relevant information and ensure their needs are met.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n Maintain strong relationships with core vendors<\/p>\n<\/li>\n Ensure legislative compliance in all areas.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n Duties \/ Responsibilities<\/strong><\/p>\n Resolve branch issues and escalate where support is needed. <\/p>\n<\/li>\n Consolidation of freight to same destination with live load planning<\/p>\n<\/li>\n Analise market trends and make recommendations for improvements to meet changing needs<\/p>\n<\/li>\n Liaise with sub-contractors to arrange carriage of goods from various worldwide destinations.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n Complete all administration functions in accordance with company policy and procedures.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n Cost and ensure all shipments have related costs and freight charges apportioned to each file<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n Skills and Competencies <\/strong><\/p>\n Good communication skills<\/p>\n<\/li>\n Good organization skills and effective time management<\/p>\n<\/li>\n Manage time effectively<\/p>\n<\/li>\n Commercial awareness<\/p>\n<\/li>\n Attention to detail<\/p>\n<\/li>\n IT Literate in Microsoft Office<\/p>\n<\/li>\n Problem solving<\/p>\n<\/li>\n Applicant would ideally have 2-3 years recent relevant industry experience with previous involvement in Worldwide Ocean Freight Exports incl consolidation<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n What can we offer you?<\/strong><\/p>\n Competitive Salary Package and an opportunity to be a part of and grow within a driven and successful company, with a team of 75,000, operating in over 95+ countries.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n Be part of a company that has strong ambitions and targets for sustainability initiatives, both internally and externally.
