Cablecraft Motion Controls Ltd is a well-established manufacturer of 50+ years based in Hailsham, East Sussex and we currently have a position available for a buyer. This role will mean sole responsibility for purchasing inventory and non-stock items, supplier price negotiation and expediating purchase orders where needed. You will also be liaising with sales & production daily to ensure all information on incoming inventory is conveyed as appropriate.<\/p>\n
Main responsibilities and duties<\/b><\/p>\n
Placing\/Monitoring\/Expediate of Purchase Orders<\/p>\n
Ensuring maintenance of Supplier\/Product information is kept up to date.<\/p>\n
Maintaining accurate costs records and re negotiating\/resourcing where appropriate.<\/p>\n
Research of new suppliers<\/p>\n
Liaising with production over shortages<\/p>\n
Assisting with production scheduling<\/p>\n
Key Skills and Experience <\/b><\/p>\n
Previous procurement experience in a manufacturing environment<\/p>\n
Must be computer literate and have skills in Microsoft Office<\/p>\n
Knowledge\/Experience of MRP systems<\/p>\n
Commercial awareness<\/p>\n
Good attention to detail<\/p>\n
Strong communication skills (Verbal & Written)<\/p>\n
There will also be an expectation to help with general duties in the office when staff absence \/ holidays occur.<\/p>\n
Having recently re located to a brand-new premises, the working environment is in a modern well lit and smart office.<\/p>\n
Hours will be Monday – Thursday 8.30am to 5.00pm – 1 hour for lunch. Friday 8.00am – 1.00pm<\/p>\n
28 days holiday per year (including Public Holidays). After 3 months service you will be entitled to death in service benefit and private medical benefit. Pension scheme is via Auto – Enrolment.<\/p>\n
Salary £30,000 per annum<\/p>\n
