The company has experienced significant growth over the last three years and is looking forward to further growth in the years ahead.<\/p>\n About the position<\/strong><\/p>\n Our Sales Ledger\/Finance Assistant role will be based in our administration head office in Ashton in Makerfield, near Wigan as part of a small finance team. The role is primarily covering all aspects of sales ledger however the successful applicant will also be involved in supporting the wider finance function.<\/p>\n We are keen to talk to people who have previous experience in working in a finance accounts environment who have a "can do" attitude and enjoy working as part of a team.<\/p>\n Hours of work Monday – Friday 8.00 -16.30 or alternatively 8.30 -17.00<\/p>\n Free parking on site<\/p>\n Remote or hybrid working is not available.<\/p>\n What you will be doing<\/strong><\/p>\n Categorisation of delivery notes from all depots<\/p>\n Posting delivery notes onto accounting system and generating sales invoices<\/p>\n Issuing invoices to customers via email\/EDI portals\/post daily<\/p>\n Allocation of customer payments<\/p>\n Generating of Sales Ledger Statements<\/p>\n Dealing with customer and branch queries<\/p>\n Filing and archiving of paperwork<\/p>\n Liaising with credit controller<\/p>\n Posting of petty cash expenditure for all depots<\/p>\n Answering telephone as required<\/p>\n Assisting Finance Manager with ad-hoc projects including support development of internal IT systems<\/p>\n Advantageous experience and skills<\/strong><\/p>\n Confidence with accounting systems -ERP<\/p>\n Ability to work as part of a small closely knit team.<\/p>\n IT skills Microsoft Office – Excel (intermediate level) , Word, Outlook<\/p>\n Application Deadline:<\/b> 29\/03\/2024
