I am currently supporting a VERY SENIOR GREAT MA ACTUARY ROLE (MATCHING ADJUSTMENT). AS OUTLINE BELOW YOU MUST BE HUGELY SKILLED ON THE ACTUARIAL MA FUNCTION AND FULL UNDERSTANDING MA COMPLIANCE ATTESTATION REQUIREMENTS. The matching Adjustment (MA) is as a skilled individual who comes forward for the role. MA is an adjustment which is made to risk free interest rate when the insurer sets aside a portfolio of assets to back a predictable portion of potential liabilities linked to client sharing. <\/strong><\/p>\n In order to come forward to the role you must be skilled in this role hugely and you will be responsible for reviewing and evidence linked to MA Compliance and also work to improve the MA (Matching Adjustment) linked to MA Actuary. <\/strong><\/p>\n Also:-<\/strong><\/p>\n \u2022 Running and improving the MA attestation framework (this is an annual process to test and evidence MA compliance)<\/strong> Monitoring ALM Metrics, including sensitives to interest rate and credit risk to optimise return<\/strong> <\/p>\n \u2022 Reviewing and improving MA controls, including MA management information.<\/strong> Core Competencies:<\/strong><\/p>\n <\/p>\n \u2022 Understanding of MA compliance and attestation requirements.<\/strong> Experience and Qualifications:<\/strong><\/p>\n \u2022 Qualified Actuary (MA)<\/strong> THIS IS AN EXCELLENT OPPORTUNITY FOR AS OUTLINED A TOP END SKILLED MA ACTUARY CONSUTLANT IN ORDER TO GET THIS ROLE. <\/strong><\/p>\n Application Deadline:<\/b> 10\/03\/2024
\u2022 Working collaboratively with wider teams to make sure that changes to MA requirements are implemented effectively.<\/strong>
\u2022 Work collaboratively with Finance and Investment Managers to identify suitable assets to support pricing of new business.<\/strong><\/p>\n
\u2022 Making sure that MA related risk reporting is integrated and streamlined.<\/strong>
\u2022 Contribute to the risk management function of Utmost Life and Pensions from a BPA perspective.<\/strong>
\u2022 Ad hoc tasks as required. Also Monitoring ALM metrics, including sensitivities to interest rate and credit risk to optimise return on capital.<\/strong><\/p>\n
\u2022 Strong communication skills (able to communicate technical issues to senior people including non-actuaries)<\/strong><\/p>\n
\u2022 Experience of working within the Actuarial Function of a UK Life assurer<\/strong>
