These will be a mix of both pre -litigated and litigated claims pursuant to the Civil Liability (Contribution) Act 1978. Recoveries will need to be sought from both employers  and occupiers where necessary.<\/p>\n<p>The role will involve factual and legal investigations, restoration of corporate entities, issuing proceedings where necessary-standing in the shoes of a Claimant. The individual will need a sound knowledge of the IDCWP guidelines &#8211; as defendants will be  other insurer clients. The caseload will include a mix of cases on behalf of all insurer clients and corporates where recoveries are required.<\/p>\n<p>The role will be client facing with the opportunity to grow client relationships. The individual will have the opportunity to grow a small team focusing on a recovery product for insurer clients.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Compensation package<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Hyrbrid working 1 day in the office, 4 days remote,Health Care Cash Plan, Holidays 25 days plus 8 bank holidays (opportunity to buy &amp; sell 3 days) increasing to 26 after 5 years\u2019 service and to 27 after 10 years\u2019 service, Death In Service &#8211; after 1 year,  Employer Pension Contribution, Cycle to Work Scheme, Tech Scheme, Season Ticket Loan*, Gym Flex<\/p>\n<p><strong>Key Accountabilities<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>To undertake initial steps on a file including sending out acknowledgements, and procedural documents<\/li>\n<li>Conduct such investigations as are appropriate and as may be delegated from time to time by the Lead File Handler)<\/li>\n<li>Carry out standard procedural tasks, e.g. Instructions to lead counsel and experts<\/li>\n<li>Progress so as to be able to carry out non-standard procedural tasks, including drafting non-standard court documents<\/li>\n<li>Assists in collating key data and checking accuracy of group register containing 4000 claims, Where appropriate, review medical records and take witness statements and disclosure<\/li>\n<li>To assist the Lead File Handler(s) in progressing the file in the most appropriate manner<\/li>\n<li>Undertake Legal Research: attend client presentations; take training notes; attend court with counsel; attend conferences<\/li>\n<li>Assist in preparing for trial on lead cases, including collating documentation and preparing extensive trial bundles<\/li>\n<li>Manages a small caseload of high value (under supervision) military deafness claims with the objective of working towards a higher financial authority<\/li>\n<li>To ensure compliance with the SRA Standards &amp; Regulations<\/li>\n<li>Adhere to Keoghs Values<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Activity Time Frames:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Adaptable; follows the direction of the LFH and prioritises own activity on a daily basis<\/li>\n<li>Scale and Scope \u2022 Typically expect 6.6 chargeable hours per day, to be agreed at team\/local level<\/li>\n<li>Supports one or more Lead File Handler(s)<\/li>\n<li>Works on the case load of the Lead File Handler<\/li>\n<li>Complete delegated tasks within time frame agreed with Lead File Handler<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Working Hours<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>35 hours per week Monday &#8211; Friday 9am &#8211; 5pm with 1 unpaid hour for lunch.
