{"id":5710,"date":"2024-02-01T01:32:05","date_gmt":"2024-02-01T01:32:05","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/coinsrev.com\/info\/it-support-technician\/"},"modified":"2024-02-01T01:32:05","modified_gmt":"2024-02-01T01:32:05","slug":"it-support-technician","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/coinsrev.com\/info\/it-support-technician\/","title":{"rendered":"IT Support Technician"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><b>Employer:<\/b> TEMPLEWOOD RECRUITMENT LTD<br \/>\n<b>Salary:<\/b> \u00a324,000 &#8211; \u00a327,000 per annum<br \/>\n<b>Date Added:<\/b> 01\/02\/2024<\/p>\n<p><strong>JobTitle: <\/strong>IT Support Technician<\/p>\n<p><strong>Location: <\/strong>Slough\/Burnham, Berkshire (Travel Required)<\/p>\n<p><strong>Department: <\/strong>IT\/Technology<\/p>\n<p><strong>About the Role<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>We have a fantastic opportunity for someone with a strong interest and passion for IT to join a fast growing and dynamic organisation, in a role which offers great exposure to a broad range of IT support areas, encompassing both hardware and software support.<\/p>\n<p>This position will have a key role in the day-to-day support (mainly Level 1 and Level 2) of the organisations.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Company Benefits<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>28 Days Annual Leave<\/li>\n<li>Employee Discounts Package (Retailers\/Restaurants\/Days Out\/Events)<\/li>\n<li>Contributory Pension Scheme<\/li>\n<li>Company Mobile and Laptop<\/li>\n<li>Staff Training and Development<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Principal Responsibilities<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>\u2022 Provide a consistently high quality and professional customer service to the business in all areas of Technology.<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 Be the first point of contact for general support and monitor, respond, resolve &amp; document Tech helpdesk tickets.<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 Own day to day functions within the Tech Helpdesk (including but not limited to):<\/p>\n<p>&#8211; Set up and administration of user accounts.<\/p>\n<p>&#8211; Asset management including upkeep of the Technology asset database<\/p>\n<p>&#8211; Set up, distribution and maintenance of all user hardware devices<\/p>\n<p>&#8211; Configuration and deployment of company software applications<\/p>\n<p>&#8211; Liaise with 3rd parties to maintain, troubleshoot and fix issues with company assets.<\/p>\n<p>&#8211; Installation and troubleshooting of site wide resources.<\/p>\n<p>&#8211; Participate in major Technology projects and own relevant project tasks.<\/p>\n<p>&#8211; Support senior members of the IT team<\/p>\n<p>&#8211; Produce and maintain concise documentation on systems and procedures for the benefit of the Technology team and employees.<\/p>\n<p>&#8211; Order placement for IT team (Full training provided)<\/p>\n<p><strong>Skills, Eduacation, Experience<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Experience working in a multi-disciplined team.<\/li>\n<li>Proven work experience as a Technical Support Engineer or similar (min 12-18 months)<\/li>\n<li>Good understanding of computer systems, mobile devices and other tech products<\/li>\n<li>Ability to diagnose and trouble shoot technical issues relevant to the role<\/li>\n<li>Able to administer Active Directory to a good level<\/li>\n<li>Ability to work under pressure in customer facing scenarios<\/li>\n<li>Ability to prioritize tasks based on urgency and importance<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Competencies<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The jobholder should possess core competencies to enable them to promote the business and to ensure that all customers receive the best possible level of service.These include:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Customer service<\/li>\n<li>Oral and written communication<\/li>\n<li>Initiative<\/li>\n<li>Creativity and innovation<\/li>\n<li>Logical thinking<\/li>\n<li>Keen interest in Technology<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>This role offers an immediate start.
