{"id":5168,"date":"2024-01-24T12:32:04","date_gmt":"2024-01-24T12:32:04","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/coinsrev.com\/info\/fpga-design-engineer\/"},"modified":"2024-01-24T12:32:04","modified_gmt":"2024-01-24T12:32:04","slug":"fpga-design-engineer","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/coinsrev.com\/info\/fpga-design-engineer\/","title":{"rendered":"FPGA Design Engineer"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><b>Employer:<\/b> Bluestream People<br \/>\n<b>Salary:<\/b> \u00a350,000 &#8211; \u00a365,000 per annum<br \/>\n<b>Date Added:<\/b> 24\/01\/2024<\/p>\n<p>As <strong>FPGA Design Engineer <\/strong>you will be part of a small, passionate team developing equipment and sub-systems for multiple space missions.<\/p>\n<p>As <strong>FPGA Design Engineer <\/strong>supporting European-based customers while specializing in the development of advanced space sensors for exploration missions as well as space-based communication technology.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Your day-to-day responsibilities will include<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Producing firmware design concepts based on inputs.<\/li>\n<li>Producing formal FW requirements where necessary.<\/li>\n<li>HDL coding (VHDL and \/ or Verilog).<\/li>\n<li>Troubleshooting hardware and software for space missions<\/li>\n<li>Maintaining and extending legacy code on existing products<\/li>\n<li>Providing clear documentation<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Experience required<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>MSc or BSc or equivalent in an analytical or quantitative discipline (Computer Science, Engineering, Physics, or similar)<\/li>\n<li>Considerable commercial experience within FPGA within the space industry<\/li>\n<li>Strong skills in VHDL and \/ or Verilog coding<\/li>\n<li>Strong skills in simulation and test of FPGA code<\/li>\n<li>Ability to solve complex challenges in a small team<\/li>\n<li>Experience of working within formal configuration control methods<\/li>\n<li>Knowledge of C and embedded C<\/li>\n<li>Knowledge of Xilinx Ultrascale and \/ or Microsemi RTG4 development<\/li>\n<li>Awareness of engineering standards (preferably ECSS)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Rewards\/Benefits include<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Competitive base salary<\/li>\n<li>25 days holiday (increasing yearly up to a maximum of 28 days) &#43; 8 days Bank Holiday<\/li>\n<li>Life insurance and long-term sick pay<\/li>\n<li>Private healthcare<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Company<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Our client is a leading global space mission partner, working across robotics, satellite systems, and space imagery who are pushing the boundaries to tackle big challenges with innovative and pioneering solutions.
