– Providing legal advice on the implementation and application of UEFA’s regulatory framework (i.e. Competition – and Technical regulations);
– Managing\/Overseeing all authorisation requests for matches\/competitions in accordance with the UEFA Authorisation Rules governing International Club Competitions and other applicable rules and regulations;
– Providing legal support in proceedings before the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS);
– Assisting in Congress related matters, including:
Draft of Circular letters
Draft of Congress agenda
Preparation of legal related slides for Congress presentation
Review of documents for elections to the UEFA Executive Committee and European members of the FIFA Council
Review of documents for Congress
– Assisting in EXCO related matters, including:
Preparation of EXCO memos and relevant slides (if needed)
Follow-up on Circular Letters
– Assisting in UEFA Standing Committees related matters, including:
Preparation of draft agenda
Preparation of master presentation
Preparation of draft action list and report for the Chair
– Support in the admission procedure for UEFA club competitions (men’s & women);
– Providing legal advice on the enforcement\/execution of the decisions taken by the UEFA disciplinary bodies (upon request) in line with the UEFA Disciplinary Regulations;
– Following and analysing the case law of the CAS in football-related cases (especially those involving UEFA).<\/p>\n
– From 1 to 3 years’ experience as a lawyer in an independent law firm or in the legal division of an international sports federation
– From 1 to 3 years’ experience as a lawyer in Swiss civil law or arbitration would be an asset<\/p>\n
– Bachelor’s in law or an equivalent qualification
– Masters in sports law
– Bar exam would be an asset<\/p>\n
