Types of serves provided include but not limited to : Brickwork, Restoration, Retrofit, Fa\u00e7ade remediation, structural steel, full design packages, Waterproofing stone masonry and architectural stone.<\/p>\n

Position: Quantity Surveyor – Masonry<\/strong><\/p>\n

Location:<\/strong> Essex<\/p>\n

Responsibilities:<\/strong><\/p>\n

    \n
  1. Cost Estimation:<\/strong> Analyze project drawings and specifications to prepare accurate cost estimates for stone masonry projects, considering materials, labor, and other relevant factors.<\/li>\n
  2. Budget Management:<\/strong> Develop and manage project budgets, ensuring that costs are controlled and remain within the approved budget parameters.<\/li>\n
  3. Tendering:<\/strong> Prepare and evaluate tender documents, liaise with subcontractors and suppliers, and negotiate contracts to secure competitive pricing.<\/li>\n
  4. Contract Administration:<\/strong> Oversee the financial aspects of contracts, including payment applications, variations, and final accounts. Ensure compliance with contractual obligations.<\/li>\n
  5. Risk Management:<\/strong> Identify potential risks related to costs and propose mitigation strategies to ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget.<\/li>\n
  6. Quantity Take-Offs:<\/strong> Conduct detailed quantity take-offs for stone masonry materials and labor, providing accurate data for project planning and procurement.<\/li>\n
  7. Collaboration:<\/strong> Work closely with project managers, architects, engineers, and other stakeholders to provide cost-related advice and contribute to the overall success of projects.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    Qualifications:<\/strong><\/p>\n

    1. Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying or a related field.<\/li>\n
    2. Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor, preferably in stone masonry or related construction fields.<\/li>\n
    3. Strong knowledge of construction costs, materials, and techniques.<\/li>\n
    4. Proficient in relevant software such as Excel, cost estimating tools, and project management software.<\/li>\n
    5. Excellent analytical and numerical skills.<\/li>\n
    6. Effective communication and negotiation abilities.<\/li>\n
    7. Membership or eligibility for membership with a relevant professional association is desirable.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
