Partnering with local major  trading, tier 1 and development brokers you\u2019ll be responsible for the overall relationships, ensuring key business plan metrics are achieved to support the delivery of our wider UK business plan.<\/p>\n<p>Your New Role: <\/p>\n<p><b>Strategy and Planning<\/b><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Contribute to the design of the Distribution Proposition, including individual action plans and scorecards of selected key International and Regional brokers, validated by Regional Manager and the Product Leaders, in line with the underwriting strategy  and with the business plan of the Region \/ Branch<\/li>\n<li>Monitor and report on progress of the Regional broker plans (new business, product density and renewal retention), to ensure progress is on target, and to identify any underperformance on new business, renewal retention, &amp; on-going actions<\/li>\n<li>Liaise with the regional brokers to understand their strategies &amp; needs and to accommodate their expectancies with the strategy of QBE. Follow up of the agreed plans.<\/li>\n<li>Liaise with Regional Manager, Regional Product leaders, Senior Underwriters, Operations and Claims Manager when appropriate to ensure Broker activity is managed in line with QBE strategy and broker distribution is co-ordinated.<\/li>\n<li>Liaise with the wider Distribution and Partnership Management team to ensure activity is aligned to wider QBE strategy and in line with agreed Global\/UK objectives for MTP and Tier 1 Partners<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><b>Policy, Process and Procedures<\/b><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Prepare correspondence, reports, spreadsheets, briefing papers and presentations for meetings\/conferences, and present information when necessary on activity with brokers.<\/li>\n<li>Prepare the internal and external templates to follow up the brokers activities<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><b>Customer Focus <\/b><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Build and maintain strong relationships with brokers to support constructive, mutually beneficial relationships<\/li>\n<li>Attend and, where relevant, lead internal strategic &amp; distribution meetings, broker workshops and external broker meetings<\/li>\n<li>Production of internal &amp; external broker communications including broker newsletters\/market reports working in conjunction with Marketing Business Partner<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><b>Technical Performance <\/b><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Manage, service and review the overall Broker panel to ensure progress toward business plan objectives.<\/li>\n<li>Develop the Broker panel in line with plan, ensuring retention and acquisition of desired business<\/li>\n<li>Monitor and review QBE partner broker business to ensure progress toward business plan objectives, identify any underperformance and solve any issues that may arise.&nbsp;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><b>People Management <\/b><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Lead Regional Market Management Team i.e Account Managers and Business Development Co-ordinators<\/li>\n<li>Establish clear accountabilities and support required in order to &nbsp;achieve their objectives. Goals\/Objectives to be agreed and noted on Workday<\/li>\n<li>Accountable for employee engagement, talent, development and performance within team, establishing a culture of accountability and performance underpinned by our QBE DNA<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Act as a point of reference to guide and advise others to ensure the sharing of knowledge and best practice<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>About You: <\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Proven experience of commercial insurance broking practices, whether in a direct account management or underwriting related role<\/li>\n<li>Clear relationship management and\/or distribution related experience within the Insurance market<\/li>\n<li>People management skills, with the ability to lead, advise and provide a supportive culture<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Ability to present to Executives and engage effectively with senior stakeholders, both internally and externally<\/li>\n<li>Highly effective communication both verbal and written with the ability to build and maintain productive internal and external relationships<\/li>\n<li>Good organisation skills including work planning and ability to prioritize for both self and the team<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>At QBE, we view our people as our most precious asset.
