{"id":3458,"date":"2023-12-31T03:32:04","date_gmt":"2023-12-31T03:32:04","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/coinsrev.com\/info\/section-engineer\/"},"modified":"2023-12-31T03:32:04","modified_gmt":"2023-12-31T03:32:04","slug":"section-engineer","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/coinsrev.com\/info\/section-engineer\/","title":{"rendered":"Section Engineer"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><b>Employer:<\/b> Kier Group<br \/>\n<b>Salary:<\/b><br \/>\n<b>Date Added:<\/b> 23\/12\/2023<\/p>\n<p>We are looking for a Section Engineer to join our team based at Devonport Dockyard, Plymouth<\/p>\n<p><strong>Location: <\/strong>Devonport Dockyard, Plymouth <br \/><strong>Business Area: <\/strong>Natural Resources, Nuclear and Networks \u2013 Major Projects <br \/><strong>Contract:<\/strong> Full Time, Permanent, Hybrid working available &#8211; Subsistence packages available depending on location<\/p>\n<p><strong>What will your responsibilities be?&nbsp;<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>As a Section Engineer, you will be working within the Kier major projects team, supporting the refurbishment of Devonport Dockyards Royal Navy submarine maintenance programme.<\/p>\n<p>Your day to day will include:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Preparing&nbsp; \u2018as-built&#8217; drawings for distribution on site.&nbsp;<\/li>\n<li>Establishing and managing effective systems to record the progress of work and update the Project Quality Plan&nbsp;<\/li>\n<li>Assisting in the recording and testing of workmanship and materials used<\/li>\n<li>Accountable for &#8216;setting-out&#8217; works constructed within allowable tolerances.&nbsp;Regularly checking the &#8216;setting-out&#8217; points and benchmarks, checking that all &#8216;setting-out&#8217; instruments and measuring equipment are delivered to site with a calibration certificate<\/li>\n<li>Making sure the workforce follow &#8216;setting-out&#8217; information<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Who are we looking for?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>This role of Section Engineer is great for you, if:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>You have Commercial and Contractual awareness, the ability to competently use your problem-solving skills&nbsp;<\/li>\n<li>You will have people management skills with the ability to liaise in a professional manner with clients and general public&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/li>\n<li>Proven project management, organisational&nbsp; and team leader skills<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>We&#8217;re all about finding potential here at Kier, and transferrable skills are always welcome!
