We are currently seeking a QA Manager for a BRC accredited food manufacturer based in the Shepton Mallet Area area. The company has been in existence for many years and is part of a large Food Group. The successful Quality Assurance Manager will report to the Head of Technical and manage a small team
Quality Assurance Manager Duties will involve:
\u00b7Maintaining the food safety system
\u00b7Maintain, review, audit and continuously improve the site quality system in accordance with central policies, customer requirements and BRC standards
\u00b7Managing the Company quality management system and HACCP, to conform to BRC standards
\u00b7Maintain HACCP plans, review and update, to ensure compliance to all relevant CCPs.
\u00b7Ensure prompt resolution of product non-conformance on production quality and process issues.
\u00b7Conduct regular assessments and audits to identify areas for improvement.
\u00b7Oversee the inspection of incoming raw materials, ensuring they meet quality specifications.
\u00b7Driving the move to a paperless system of traceability
\u00b7Management of the NPD process and lab\/env testing
\u00b7Maintaining our supplier approval and specs
\u00b7Site hygiene and fabric auditing
\u00b7Assist in all H&S duties on Site
Quality Assurance Manager Skills \/ Experience Required:
\u00b7Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
\u00b7Ability to use Microsoft packages.
\u00b7At least 2 years experience in a quality role within the food manufacturing industry
\u00b7A relevant Degree (Food\/Science) ideally with Level 4 food safety& Level 3 HACCP.
\u00b7Proven experience working with BRC Food Safety Standard and retailer standards.
\u00b7In depth Knowledge of HACCP, TACCP, VACCP and Food Safety Culture.
