Milk Education are currently working with a Primary School in Bolton who are seeking a Teaching Assistant to support a KS1 child on a one-to-one basis who has SEND.<\/p>\n
This role is to start immediately with the possibility to continue into March 2024. This Teaching Assistant role is working Monday to Friday each week between 08:30am- 15:30pm and there will be a 30 minute lunch break. The school are looking for a Teaching Assistant who is confident to work on a one-to-one basis and who is supportive of the child\u2019s needs.<\/p>\n
The school are looking for applicants who have previous experience working with children in a school or child care setting. Previous employment or volunteering experience as a Teaching Assistant can be within the past 5 years and can include Nurseries, Youth Centres or working as a Support Worker with SEND Adults or Children.<\/p>\n
The ideal person will be inclusive, passionate, engaging, empathetic and supportive whilst using their initiative on a daily basis. Good communication skills are a must whilst working alongside other support staff and supporting the class teacher.<\/p>\n
Key Responsibilities:<\/u><\/p>\n
\u2013 Working one to one with a KS1 child with SEND<\/p>\n
\u2013 Supporting the class teacher on a daily basis with what tasks they require you to undertake<\/p>\n
\u2013 Build a positive and supportive relationship with all children, colleagues and parents<\/p>\n
\u2013 Use your initiative and uphold strong behaviour management<\/p>\n
\u2013 Supporting groups of children and working on a one-to-one basis<\/p>\n
\u2013 Adapting your support style to suit all individual needs<\/p>\n
In order to be considered for this role we require you meet the following criteria:<\/p>\n
\u2013 Strong English and Maths Skills<\/p>\n
\u2013 Previous experience of volunteering or working with Children in the past 5 years<\/p>\n
\u2013 Have eligibility to work in the UK or be a UK resident<\/p>\n
\u2013 Two suitable references covering the last 2 years<\/p>\n
\u2013 Hold a current DBS that is registered with the update service or be willing to apply for a new one<\/p>\n
