BASIC SALARY:<\/strong> £35,000 – £40,000

LOCATION:<\/strong> This is an office based role located in the stunning High Peak area of the Peak District. JOB DESCRIPTION:<\/strong> Mechanical Development Engineer, Mechanical Design Engineer, Design Engineer, Mechanical Engineer, Draughtsperson, CAD Technician
Joining as the 4th member of our Design Development Team, your initial focus will be to work on our smaller, primary projects. These projects can last from a few hours or several days, eventually building up to bigger projects that range from 3-6 months. Your responsibility will be key to growing momentum for the department and building trust by delivering excellent work.
You will also:
\u00b7 Lead key, positive changes to the design and production of our lifting equipment . These could be process or specification improvements.
\u00b7 Communicate and build rapport with all relevant departments, collate information from them and fulfil requests to help progress the project you are working on and plan future improvements.
\u00b7 Assist your fellow Development Engineers with their outstanding longer projects.
\u00b7 Take on new exciting projects that could have a positive impact on the future of our growing business.
Person Requirements:<\/strong> Mechanical Development Engineer, Mechanical Design Engineer, Design Engineer, Mechanical Engineer, Draughtsperson, CAD Technician
We’re looking for a proven Mechanical Design Engineer with experience in implementing design improvements to a manufacturing process. Ideally you have worked on a shop floor or in a manufacturing environment and understand the needs for development of product and communicating any relevant problems.
You are also:
\u00b7 Qualified to Degree\/HNC\/HND Level in Mechanical Engineering or an equivalent qualification.
\u00b7 Experienced using CAD software – we use Solid Edge but relevant training provided.
\u00b7 Able to thrive in a busy environment whilst working on multiple projects ranging in size and priority.
\u00b7 A problem solver, that can design and a process improvement to a manufacturing \/ production process.
\u00b7 You’re a team player that can work well alone but also communicate effectively when needed
