They develop new technologies and processing methods to commercialise products with the goal of reducing the environmental impact.<\/p>\n<p>THE ROLE: <br \/>The primary responsibility for the National Business Development Manager is to drive sustainable, financial growth by winning new business and forging strong relationships with clients all whilst building a healthy pipeline for future business.<\/p>\n<p>You must have industry experience from a flexible packaging background from and who can demonstrate new business winning skills and is willing to be mainly new business focused coming from a market that sells through Trading not Manufacturing.<\/p>\n<p>This is a role for someone who is Tenacious &amp; Commercially minded, who is prepared to roll their sleeves up and hit the ground running. This is a blank canvas allowing the right candidate to put their personal stamp all over it through their energy and endeavours.<\/p>\n<p>THE CANDIDATE: <br \/>You will ideally come with a Flexible Packaging background selling traded products. Our client will also look at candidates that have corrugated background, but Flexible Packaging is the priority for the role.<\/p>\n<p>You will have good experience of working in a Business Development Management role with a talent for communication and a proven track record of winning significant new business and relationship driven business gains.<br \/>Our client is looking for someone with a strong sales mentality, who is collaborative both internally and externally, can be innovative in their approach to the role, demonstrates a high degree of attention to detail in a fast moving, pressured environment  and self-motivated who can display a strong affinity<br \/>with their customers.<br \/>Ideally, you will have a good knowledge of the UK packaging marketplace with a strong understanding of packaging solutions.<\/p>\n<p>KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: <br \/>Develop a growth strategy focused both on financial gain and customer satisfaction<br \/>Present the developed Packaging Solutions to customers and visualise the value they create, ensuring that customers perceive our client as the leading Packaging Strategist.<br \/>Continuously evaluate how new packaging solutions perform and ensure that they meet the requirements and demands of customers.<br \/>Conduct research to identify new markets and customer needs.<br \/>Arrange business meetings with existing and prospective clients.<br \/>Exploring and utilising insights from the customer supply chains to highlight opportunities, risks and demands.<br \/>Promote the company&#8217;s products\/services addressing or predicting clients&#8217; needs<br \/>Build long-term relationships with new and existing customers.<br \/>Identify emerging markets and market shifts while being fully aware of new products and competition status based upon company overall strategy. <br \/>Create tactics and strategies for developing business to achieve the set sales goals.<br \/>Achieve growth and hit sales targets by successfully managing the sales pipeline.<br \/>Provide trustworthy feedback and after-sales support.<br \/>Assist with the design and implement a strategic business plan that expands the company&#8217;s customer base and ensures a strong presence.<br \/>Handle customer calls and email requests and send sales information to customers (e.g. lead times, product descriptions).<br \/>Oversee and validate any large sales opportunities.<br \/>Monitor the leads record and ensure there is a plan and there are actions taken against every sales opportunity.<br \/>Report on company performance, sales plans and activities.<\/p>\n<p>THE CONSULTANCY:<br \/>Edwards &amp; Pearce acts as an employment agency for permanent recruitment and an employment business for the supply of temporary workers.
