Position Overview: As the Specialist Works Manager for my client your primary responsibility is to lead the development and expansion of the Specialist Works department. This role entails overseeing minor projects and maintenance contracts, with a focus on projects valued up to £100,000.<\/p>\n

Project Management and Maintenance:<\/strong><\/p>\n Business Development and Client Relations:<\/strong><\/p>\n Skills and Qualifications:<\/p>\n Personal Qualities:<\/p>\n \u2022 Lead and oversee a dedicated team comprising electricians, electrical, and administrative staff.<\/p>\n \u2022 Formulate and execute processes and software systems in collaboration with the commercial team.<\/p>\n \u2022 Develop management resource plans and implement changes as necessary.<\/p>\n Supplier and Subcontractor Collaboration:<\/p>\n \u2022 Cultivate relationships with suppliers and subcontractors.<\/p>\n \u2022 Supervise subcontractors to ensure timely and high-quality project delivery.<\/p>\n \u2022 Collaborate with subcontractors for maintenance, quotes, orders, and health and safety audits.<\/p>\n \u2022 Evaluate subcontractor performance and manage all documentation and invoicing processes.<\/p>\n Commercial and Financial Management:<\/p>\n \u2022 Report to and be answerable to the Directors.<\/p>\n \u2022 Uphold knowledge in commercial, technical, legal, and insurance aspects.<\/p>\n \u2022 Ensure compliance with clients’ budget requirements and mitigate financial risks.<\/p>\n \u2022 Generate quotes\/business cases for additional works.<\/p>\n Risk Management and Innovation:<\/p>\n \u2022 Identify business risks early in projects and handle them proactively.<\/p>\n \u2022 Establish and maintain risk registers and contingency plans.<\/p>\n \u2022 Embrace innovation as a crucial management capability for the sustainability of the department.<\/p>\n Operational Excellence:<\/p>\n \u2022 Coordinate workflow for all client and internal requests based on service level agreements (SLAs).<\/p>\n \u2022 Interact with customers and teams for planned preventive maintenance (PPM) and service visits.<\/p>\n Post-Contract Responsibilities:<\/p>\n \u2022 Collaborate with relevant contract managers for project completion.<\/p>\n \u2022 Reach out to clients for post-contract packages and promptly address any arising issues.<\/p>\n Commercial Objectives:<\/p>\n \u2022 Initiate contact with existing and past clients to offer a spectrum of electrical services. \u2022 Respond to client calls for work and strategize the maintenance team’s schedule.<\/p>\n General Responsibilities:<\/p>\n \u2022 Cultivate effective relationships with all stakeholders.<\/p>\n \u2022 Uphold high standards in all operational and commercial activities.<\/p>\n The initial salary will be £35,000.00 – £60,000 per annum, depending on skills and experience.<\/p>\n The package includes:<\/p>\n \u2022 Company Vehicle or car allowance to be agreed<\/p>\n \u2022 BUPA health insurance via the JIB scheme \u2022 23 days annual leave plus Bank holidays<\/p>\n Application Deadline:<\/b> 17\/01\/2024\n
