{"id":12343,"date":"2024-05-03T12:00:12","date_gmt":"2024-05-03T12:00:12","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/coinsrev.com\/info\/curriculum-manager-a-levels-science-and-access-to-he\/"},"modified":"2024-05-03T12:00:12","modified_gmt":"2024-05-03T12:00:12","slug":"curriculum-manager-a-levels-science-and-access-to-he","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/coinsrev.com\/info\/curriculum-manager-a-levels-science-and-access-to-he\/","title":{"rendered":"Curriculum Manager &#8211; A Levels, Science and Access to HE"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><b>Employer:<\/b> MET Recruitment UK Ltd<br \/>\n<b>Salary:<\/b> \u00a344,861 &#8211; \u00a347,591 per annum<br \/>\n<b>Date Added:<\/b> 03\/05\/2024<\/p>\n<p>An exciting opportunity has arisen to <strong>&quot;make a difference&quot;<\/strong> working with one of our leading colleges based within the Black Country.<\/p>\n<p>We are currently recruiting for an <strong>interim Curriculum Manager specialising in A Levels, Science and Access to HE.<\/p>\n<p><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>You will be a proven key figure in the educational field leading the direction of your provision throughout all aspects of curriculum delivery including retention, achievement, and destinations.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Responsible to:<\/strong>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Head of Service Industries and Academic Studies<\/p>\n<p><strong>Salary:<\/strong> &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&#163;44,861 &#8211; &#163;47,591<\/p>\n<p><strong>Hours of work:&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/strong> 35 hours per week<\/p>\n<p><strong>Key Responsibilities:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Apply a forensic approach to create a cohesive, multi-level curriculum offer, which provides opportunities for progression and reflects and meets the needs of stakeholders, including local and national employers.<\/p>\n<p>Form and maintain good working relationships with external partners to enhance and grow your curriculum provision, ensuring input from employers to shape and support the knowledge, skills and behaviors required.<\/p>\n<p>Ensure that your curriculum provision provides advice, guidance and enrollment services when required to support College recruitment and enrollment.<\/p>\n<p>Where appropriate, liaise with the relevant Sector Lead for apprenticeships to support apprenticeship success.<\/p>\n<p>Create timetables and work patterns for all staff that you line manage, regularly collaborating with business support teams to support your curriculum provision e.g., on staffing, timetables etc.<\/p>\n<p>Continually review the student&#8217;s journey from pre-enrollment to progression to deliver improvements in line with College values, and stakeholders.<\/p>\n<p>Set and monitor performance targets for attendance, retention, achievement, and destinations for your curriculum provision and continually monitor and track progress, informing all stakeholders, e.g., parents, when needed.<\/p>\n<p>Lead on the quality of education for your curriculum provision, whilst working with members of the Quality Team to drive a good or better experience for all students, addressing any issues of under performance or non-compliance as required, across all funding  streams.<\/p>\n<p>Ensure timely solutions are found to cover any teaching, this may include covering lessons.<\/p>\n<p>Meeting students, as required, respecting confidentiality appropriately and holding disciplinary meetings, liaising with parents or guardians where applicable.<\/p>\n<p>Where required, attend or host meetings for students with EHCPs, working with SEN and Inclusion and Safeguarding Teams and any external stakeholders to ensure students are successful.<\/p>\n<p>Host regular team meeting and 1:1&#8217;s with staff. Complete appraisals, setting and monitoring KPI&#8217;s with clear measures that are continually reviewed.<\/p>\n<p>Work with the Exams Team to ensure that all exams are planned, conducted appropriately and invigilated. Where required, ensure that students are entered accurately and timely for examinations.<\/p>\n<p>Oversee that IQA and EQA requirements your curriculum provision and ensure that the awarding body criteria and expectations are met.<\/p>\n<p>Complete an annual self-assessment review and present to internal and external bodies to validate judgments. Complete a Quality Improvement plan to identify areas for improvement, regularly updating and evidencing termly impact.<\/p>\n<p>Use relevant systems and reports to ensure your curriculum provision meets College financial targets, monitoring staff utilisation and classroom sizes, presenting this data when necessary.<\/p>\n<p>Develop and help to promote your curriculum provision to all stakeholders through ways such as open events, social media channels and external events etc.<\/p>\n<p>Respond in a timely manner to any student or staff complaints, investigating and resolving where applicable.<\/p>\n<p>Support all staff and students&#8217; wellbeing, complying with the relevant College policies and procedures.<\/p>\n<p>Contribute, as required, and work with other College and Senior Management Team members in creating a purposeful, student focused College where clear expectations contribute to student&#8217;s success and career progression.<\/p>\n<p>Be part of the College Learning Evaluation Team carrying out activities such as in line with the relevant College policies and procedures.<\/p>\n<p>Identify staff CPD requirements and develop and deliver CPD sessions as required to team(s) or wider College.<\/p>\n<p>Be responsible for the induction of new staff in your curriculum provision, including the probation process.<\/p>\n<p>Establish and manage substantial pay and non-pay budgets, ensuring resources are optimised (and reduced where possible through innovative management) and offer value for money.<\/p>\n<p>Identify and develop new income-generating opportunities within the context of a commercial strategy where applicable.
