The school is looking&nbsp;for someone who can start after straight away and has experience working with individuals and small  groups of children.<\/p>\n<p><strong>About the&nbsp;Teaching Assistant role:&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>You will be working closely with the class teacher in Year 2 to motivate and encourage students to reach their full potential.<\/li>\n<li>Supporting children with special educational needs<\/li>\n<li>Individual support should be provided to students in small groups to ensure learning is taking place<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Ideal Teaching Assistant will:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Have previous experience working as a Teaching Assistant.<\/li>\n<li>Support pupils who have special educational needs<\/li>\n<li>Have basic understanding of childhood development and steps to support children of various ages<\/li>\n<li>Be helping pupils to increase their confidence and self-esteem by listening to them and devising appropriate strategies.<\/li>\n<li>Be able to work as part of a team<\/li>\n<li>Good written and oral skills&nbsp;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<br \/><em>Please be advised that this role requires a strong knowledge and understanding of safeguarding and child protection and that successful applicants must satisfy all background safer recruitment checks including an enhanced DBS on the update service.&nbsp;<\/em><\/p>\n<p><strong>GSL offers equal opportunities to applicants from all members of the community.
