Armagh with an estate that includes leisure facilities, parks, public buildings and offices. <\/p>\n<p><strong>Your new role<\/strong><br \/>This will be on an initial temporary basis, likely to last c.6 months, reporting to the Head of Estates.You will be required to:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Directing and managing response maintenance works, remedial repairs and project works<\/li>\n<li>Centralising, rationalising, tendering and onward management of service contracts<\/li>\n<li>Setting up, prioritising and managing M&amp;E service programmes of work (Statutory PPM); <\/li>\n<li>Liaising with Estates Asset Management Dept to ensure appropriate maintenance cover for Tenants<\/li>\n<li>Acting on findings of Insurance Engineering Inspection Reports <\/li>\n<li>Compiling service\/design information specifying and managing M&amp;E works, managing Consultants if appointed<\/li>\n<li>Act as Lead Estates Officer on a Range of Contracts including Management of Legionella<\/li>\n<li>Ensuring compliance with Health &amp; Safety Regulations, liaising with Corporate H&amp;S Department as required <\/li>\n<li>Meeting with Stakeholders and Facility Managers to agree project scope of works <\/li>\n<li>Requesting and reviewing Quotations, Agreeing programming of works, Monitor and Control of Project Costs <\/li>\n<li>Snagging of Completed Works, review of Commissioning and O&amp;M Information<\/li>\n<li>Undertaking site inspections and M&amp;E condition surveys, preparing detailed specifications and schedules, cost estimates and feasibility studies for M&amp;E works\/ projects, preparing pre-qualification questionnaires and evaluation methodologies; <\/li>\n<li>Advising on recommended works due to plant life expectancy \/ maintenance issues \/ inspection reports etc. <\/li>\n<li>Monitoring the work of Mechanical and\/or Electrical Engineering consultants and contractors, vetting their invoices and claims for payment and carrying out technical vetting of their performance.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>What you&#8217;ll need to succeed<\/strong><br \/>Degree level qualification in a relevant subject such as Higher National Certificate in Building Services Engineering (Mechanical), or equivalent qualification <strong>and<\/strong> be able to demonstrate, by providing personal and specific examples, at least one year&#8217;s relevant experience in a consulting mechanical engineering environment, client side estates role or working for a maintenance contractor managing a  large public estate.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Or<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>NVQ Level 3 qualification in a mechanical building services discipline, such as BTEC Higher National Certificate in Building Services Engineering (Mechanical), or equivalent qualification <strong>and<\/strong> be able to demonstrate on the application form, by providing personal and specific examples, at least three years&#8217; relevant experience in a consulting mechanical engineering environment, client side estates role or working for a maintenance  contractor managing a large public estate.<\/p>\n<p><strong>What you&#8217;ll get in return<\/strong><br \/>This is an excellent opportunity to gain experience working in a public sector organisation where you will be given the chance to work on a wide range of maintenance and refurbishment projects of varying values.This is a temporary post to cover a vacant permanent  position.<\/p>\n<p>&#163;35,000 &#8211; &#163;38,000 pro rata.<\/p>\n<p>37 hours per week, Monday to Friday.<\/p>\n<p>Hybrid working.<\/p>\n<p>36 days annual leave including stat days.<\/p>\n<p><strong>What you need to do now<\/strong><br \/>If you&#8217;re interested in this role, click &#8216;apply now&#8217; to forward an up-to-date copy of your CV, or call us now.<br \/>If this job isn&#8217;t quite right for you, but you are looking for a new position, please contact us for a confidential discussion on your career.<\/p>\n<p>Hays Specialist Recruitment Limited acts as an employment agency for permanent recruitment and employment business for the supply of temporary workers.
