REED are currently recruiting for a Finance Manager for a technology software provider based in Christchurch. This position will manage an existing team of 4, reporting into the Financial Controller. As essential part of the role will be liaising with the various departments within a larger staff team of circa 130. The role would suit a candidate with excellent people skills, self sufficient with an adaptable management style.<\/p>\n
Finance Manager (x4 Direct reports),<\/p>\n Hours – Part time (30 hours per week) or Full Time hours \u2013 40 hours per week<\/p>\n Christchurch Based – office based mainly – one day a week working from home<\/strong><\/p>\n Key areas of responsibility for the successful Finance Manager will include:<\/p>\n Reporting and Compliance<\/strong><\/p>\n \u2022 Overall responsibility for the delivery of the monthly management accounts, from month end adjustments and balance sheet reconciliations through to the provision of commentary and insights for internal stakeholders.<\/p>\n \u2022 Ensure the Group companies remain compliant with accounting standards and regulations.<\/p>\n \u2022 Manage the year end audit process and the primary point of contact for queries<\/p>\n \u2022 Preparation and filing of statutory financial statements<\/p>\n \u2022 Assist the Financial Controller with the preparation of VAT and corporation tax returns and ensure filed within specified deadlines.<\/p>\n Financial Planning & Analysis<\/p>\n Cashflow Management<\/strong><\/p>\n \u2022 Manage, reconcile and control the sales\/invoicing process.<\/p>\n \u2022 Regular review of aged receivables, working with credit control to ensure timely payments from customers.<\/p>\n \u2022 Regular review of aged payables, reconciling back to supplier statements.<\/p>\n Cross Functional Collaboration<\/p>\n \u2022 Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Sales, Marketing, and Operations, to align financial strategies with business goals.<\/p>\n \u2022 Support the development and tracking of key performance indicators (KPIs).<\/p>\n Team Management<\/strong><\/p>\n \u2022 Direct line management of four direct reports, including coaching and mentoring so they can meet their career aspirations.<\/p>\n \u2022 Management of the Accounts Team email inbox, ensuring all queries are dealt with in a timely manner.<\/p>\n \u2022 Supporting the CFO, Financial Controller and Accounts Team with other day to day tasks and one-off ad hoc projects as required.<\/p>\n The successful candidate should have the following attributes:<\/p>\n \u2022 ACA\/ACCA\/CIMA qualified with 2+ years PQE.<\/p>\n \u2022 Minimum 2 years\u2019 experience working within a commercial business in an accounting function.<\/p>\n \u2022 Demonstrable experience of producing financial models, budgets, and forecasts.<\/p>\n \u2022 Proficient using MS Office with advanced Excel skills (essential) and Power BI skills (preferable).<\/p>\n \u2022 "Can-do" and proactive attitude to work, using initiative to move tasks forward and reach a conclusion.<\/p>\n \u2022 Tech savvy with a keen interest in eCommerce and an eye for detail.<\/p>\n \u2022 Ability to deal with large quantities of data.<\/p>\n \u2022 Methodical, self-disciplined and have the ability to prioritise own workload.<\/p>\n \u2022 Confident communicating with people at all levels.<\/p>\n Salary and Benefits:<\/p>\n \u2022 Salary: Dependant on experience – circa £55k<\/p>\n \u2022 Pension<\/p>\n \u2022 Health cash plan<\/p>\n \u2022 Annual leave of 23 days plus bank holidays increasing with length of service<\/p>\n \u2022 In additional to annul leave entitlement we provide your birthday off<\/p>\n \u2022 Ability to work from home on occasion to support family and personal commitments<\/p>\n \u2022 Discounts to leading retail, leisure and restaurant brands<\/p>\n \u2022 Company social events<\/p>\n \u2022 Free parking<\/p>\n <\/p>\n Application Deadline:<\/b> 14\/05\/2024
