Are you a Warehouse / Stores Supervisor who is dedicated to continuous improvement both in the daily operations of the Warehouse and developing your team?
Here at Leidos, we design and manufacture security and detection automation found in airports across the world – you’ll have likely been through one of our systems if you have been on holiday recently.
At our site in Kempston, we build and test this equipment before it is shipped off to its final destination. Our Warehouse Operations play a vital role in supporting production processes and ensuring domestic and international shipments meet our customers’ expectations.
As the Warehouse Supervisor here at Leidos, you’ll look after a team of 5 people. You’re able to support the development of the team, you’ll oversee regular training and reviews. You’re well organised, able to prioritise and delegate tasks effectively and confident in communicating both with the team and to the wider business.
You’re proactive and used to working to tight deadlines. You can identify areas for process improvements, able to suggest ideas and gather ideas from the team and implement change.
You’re used to managing inventory levels and stock rotation, processing all transactions through an ERP system (we use Costpoint). You’ll also need to manage third-party warehouse relationships, reviewing for performance and cost.

About You
Significant experience managing a stores/warehouse operation, ideally in support of manufacturing
Experience with transportation management, shipping goods domestically/internationally
Experience in inventory management and cycle counting, with working knowledge of ERP systems
Ideally (but not essentially) some experience of hazardous material shipping
Supervisory experience – confident in conducting appraisals, regular check-ins, delegating tasks and general supervisory duties
Confident communicating with all levels within a business and with external stakeholders.
Due to the nature of our business, you must be able to obtain and maintain BPSS security clearance
