We have an exciting opportunity for a Ward Clerk to join The Harborne Hospital. You will provide a reception/administrative service to support the Acute Medical ward to deliver a high quality service to clients.
The Harborne Hospital – part of HCA Healthcare UK is a brand new £100million, purpose built 50 bed, multi-speciality private hospital opening in Birmingham in January 2024. Located on the Queen Elizabeth Hospital Birmingham campus, the hospital will have the deep clinical infrastructure, equipment and facilities and expert, experienced teams to deliver full clinical pathways across a mix of specialties and sub-specialties at all levels of complexity including Cardiology, Cancer and Complex Surgery. The Harborne Hospital is the 4th NHS partnership within this network, partnering with University Hospitals Birmingham NHS Trust.

What you’ll do:

Meet and greet patients, visitors, consultants and staff and deal with their enquiries in accordance with world class standards

Answer telephone enquiries, referring where appropriate

To make bookings for consultant appointments and clinical investigations

To register patients and enter charges on to computer system
-
Support and on some occasions work on other units as indicated in the absence of ward clerks

Administrative support to Unit Manager and Sisters

Take minutes, prepare minutes and agenda for Meetings
What you’ll bring:

Previous admin experience within a healthcare setting

Excellent communication skills

Computer literate
