Job Description
This role could be based anywhere in the UK as this is a fully remote team. You will need to be available to start in February 2024.
This is a *Fixed Term Contract* opportunity for a Tax Manager to join the direct tax and group tax reporting team of a leading organisation starting in February 2024. The role has been created in anticipation of additional work created by the accelerated statutory accounts process and your role will be manage the stats reporting cycle for a portfolio of UK entities
Key responsibilities will include:
- Supporting Head of UK Direct Tax in the delivery of tax accounting and tax reporting outputs
- Preparing corporate and deferred tax calculations for company statutory accounts for UK entities including drafting required note disclosures
- Preparing supporting tax documentation in excel
- Collating documentation for UK tax compliance requirements
- Preparing corporate tax computations using Alphatax
- Clearing up entities for liquidation entities where relevant
You will need to be a qualified tax specialist (ACA / ACCA / CTA or equivalant) with demonstrable experience and proficiency with tax compliance and reporting systems, with a strong preference for Alphatax experience. You will need to have UK GAAP/FRS101 tax accounting experience, including completion of tax provisions for statutory accounts, drafting tax notes and agreement of tax accounting disclosures with auditors.
This role could be based anywhere in the UK as this is a fully remote team. You will need to be available to start in February 2024.
