Are you passionate about teaching and helping students reach their full potential?
We are looking for a full-time tutor to work with small groups of students in Reading. The ideal candidate will have experience working with students who are school refusers, not engaged in school, and need interventions put in place. They should be able to teach some of the core subjects like English, Maths, and Science and engage with students who need extra support. The tutor will work with groups of up to six students and should have excellent behaviour management skills. They should also have a wide range of SEN experience as they will be dealing with all types of students ranging in age.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Education or related field
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- Experience working with students who are school refusers, not engaged in school, and need intervention
- Excellent behavior management skills
- Wide range of SEN experience
Responsibilities:
- Teach core subjects like English, Maths, and Science to small groups of students
- Engage with students who need extra support
- Provide intervention for students who are struggling
- Work with SEN students and pupil premium students
- Manage student behavior in the classroom
