We are looking for a Tree Inspector to join the team based in Leicestershire (LE3). You will be responsible for carrying out regular inspections of trees adjacent to the highway and on other sites in the County, identifying defects that could be hazardous to the public or property, and providing technical information for the serving of notices to remedy defects.
As a Tree Inspector, you will:
- Carry out regular inspections of trees and locate their positions on plans
- Prepare reports and associated plans on defective trees
- Maintain and update records of tree inspections
- Input, maintain and extract computer database information
- Issue work instructions to contractors to carry out work identified, including supervision and inspection of work on completion
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Strong technical and/or practical experience in forestry/ arboriculture
- BTEC or C & G Level 3 Certificate in Arboriculture
- Identification of trees and shrubs and tree pathogens
- Have a driving license
- Ability to work under pressure and to demonstrate a positive approach to a range of responsibilities and demands
This role is full time, 37 hours per week, with a pay rate of £14.43 per hour PAYE or £17.75 via Umbrella
