Technical Sales Engineer

At Saint Gobain PAM we are hiring for a Technical Sales Engineerto join our production facility in Telford. The core purpose of the Technical Sales Engineer is to lead the pre-assembly proposition for public sector and commercial sector projects. This will include acting as a single point of contact for our customers from the receipt of an initial pre-assembly enquiry through to project completion. Throughout the various project stages various digital documents will be produced for the customers such as standard details and take-offs.
The role will also give us capacity to focus on other service innovations for our customers. Remaining relevant to our customers means continuing to develop the digital services we are offering the market and we must take advantage of new digital innovations that will revolutionize how buildings are built. The construction industry is changing fast with the three biggest transformations being sustainability, digital and off-site manufacturing. This role is dedicated to these three things.

The successful Technical Sales Engineer will work in a team consisting of a Technical Sales Administrator and report into the Technical Department Manager. This is a very reactive department with variety in duties on a day-to-day basis. What you will be doing:
- The Technical Sales Engineer will be responsible for the success of PAM Building’s innovative solutions such as pre-assembled stacks and social housing stacks.
- Work closely with the marketing, sales, internal and external customers to deliver the design of new solutions to meet changing customer needs.
- Create innovative product standard detail designs in Auto-desk Inventor and make them a reality to exceed customer expectations
- Design and deliver the pre-assembled stack approval drawings in Inventor to distribute to customers for approval prior to production.
- Manage projects to ensure that we achieve our internal and external customer requirements
- Dealing with stack designs for approval on and off site, collaborating with contractors as their requirements on pre-assembly and prefabricated drainage stacks, from start to finish
What are we looking for?
- Product designing and modelling with experience in product design using Solid works, Autodesk Invertor and Revit,
- Can assemble and draft drawings in 3D CAD to deliver standard details or technical product drawings for approval.
- Experience working in a Fast-Moving production engineering environment
- Ambitious, outgoing with good personality, team focus and a desire to learn and develop
- Can demonstrate an interest in emerging technology and is "Tech Savvy"
- The ability to project manage and offer our customers technical solutions throughout their project
