Milk Education is partnered with a Primary School in Bolton (BL5) who are seeking to appoint a Teaching Assistant to start a long term, full-time role within a Key Stage 1 Classroom.
Working hours – 8:30am – 3:30pm
The role will involve working on a full time basis within Key Stage 1 classrooms working closely with an experienced Teacher.
The Role:
• To work under the instruction/guidance of senior/teaching staff to undertake work/care/support programmes
• To enable access to learning for pupils and to assist the teacher in the management of pupils and the classroom.
• To support the delivery of quality learning both in the classroom or outside the main teaching area to help raise standards of achievement for all pupils.
• To encourage the participation of all pupils.
• Promote the inclusion and acceptance of all pupils.
Required Skills & Experience of the KS1 Teaching Assistant:
• Previous and recent experience of supporting children within either a school/ private day nursery/youth centre or similar setting.
• Fantastic knowledge of the Key Stage 1 phase including the delivery of phonics.
• Experience in supporting children with additional needs.
• Qualifications: CACHE Level 2 or 3, NNEB, Early Years or Education Degree, Teaching Assistant Level 2 or 3.
