Our Client, a fast-growing business in Bradford, is currently seeking a talented and experienced Supply Chain Manager to lead their logistics and distribution efforts.
As the Supply Chain Manager, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth flow of goods from suppliers to valued customers. This is both a hands-on and strategic position, having experience within a warehouse function is essential for this role.
Key duties of the Supply Chain Manager:
- Develop and implement supply chain strategies to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and improve overall performance
- Cultivate strong relationships with suppliers and stakeholders, ensuring feedback is taken in to consideration
- Oversee inventory levels, analysing demand patterns, and implementing inventory optimisation strategies to ensure adequate stock while minimising excess
- Working closely with the head of continuous improvement to assess supply chain processes and identify areas for improvement
- Proactively identify potential risks in the supply chain and develop contingency plans to mitigate disruptions
- Manage a monitor KPI performance including time to receipt, picking to ship and breakage and losses
- Lead and mentor a team. This includes coaching, delegating and encouraging the team to solve day-to-day operational issues, and reach short and long-term performance goals
The ideal Supply Chain Manager will need the following skills:
- Proven experience in supply chain management, warehouse operations or logistics
- Ideally you will have experience within industries including wholesale, automotive or ecommerce
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and negotiation abilities to liaise with suppliers, customers, and internal teams effectively
- Able to thrive in a fast paced environment and adapt to changing priorities
- Experience of warehouse management systems desirable
