Electrical Shift Engineer

£47,000 + HV Training

As an Electrical Shift Engineer, you will be entrusted with the responsibility of conducting both planned preventive maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance tasks. Your actions will directly impact the seamless operation of essential services, making your role crucial to the site’s success.
The position follows a continental shift pattern, providing a balanced approach to work and personal time. This schedule allows for periods of rest and recovery, ensuring that when on shift, your focus can be on delivering excellence in maintenance services.
In recognition of the importance of continuous development, this role includes comprehensive high voltage training. This will not only expand your current skill set but also prepare you for future advancements in the ever-evolving field of electrical engineering..
Duties:
- PPMs & Reactive maintenance
- Single and Three Phase Power, Motors, Generators (on/off load tests), UPS, LV/HV switching, Shutdowns, Switchgear, Motors, Emergency Lighting, Fire Alarm Test, AHUs, FCUs,, BMS Operation
- Carry out isolation of plant and systems in accordance with safety requirements.
- Ensure corrective/repair works are carried out in accordance with regulations.
- Endorse safe working practices, quality standards conformity and best practice methods.
- Completing logbooks and RAMS
Requirements:
- Fully qualified in Electrical Engineering (City and Guilds / NVQ or equivalent)
- Prior experience in Building Maintenance (At least 3 years experience)
- Apprenticeship trained – Desirable
- HV Switching / assistance in switching – Desirable
- Client facing
- Works well in a team and individually
Salary and Benefits:
- £47,000 per annum
- HV training provided (Additional £1000 when completed)
