We have an exciting opportunity to join our Asset Performance team as a Sewer Investigation Technician. You will investigate chronic pollution incidents, long-term flooding and high-level complaints while working closely with a range of internal and external stakeholders. You will identify root causes of issues in catchments and sub catchments to create the data and documentation to support investment decisions or appropriate mitigation.
Your duties will include:??
– Thorough ground investigations of flooding areas
– Utilisation of ground topography, mapping data, house and contributing area surveys
– Operating the appropriate business systems (IRIS, SAP gnet.) to provide supportive data
– Installation, utilisation and interpretation of smart flow monitors together with smart networks to assist in monitor validation.
– Location and implementation of ground water monitoring in high infiltration areas
– Testing and validating solutions in the operational environment
What does it take to be a Sewer Investigation Technician?
– Experience within an operational environment is essential
– Ability to analyse information, fault find and provide solutions
– Good understanding and experience of all Microsoft packages
– Full UK Driving Licence is essential
– In this role you must be able to work within a confined space, and at height without restrictions.? Due to?harness weight limits, your maximum weight cannot be in excess of 113 kilograms,?and you will be expected to complete relevant occupational health checks including Hand-arm Vibration (HAV)
