Position Summary:
As a Senior Social Worker specializing in Child Safeguarding at Hire Stone Recruitment Ltd, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the safety and well-being of children facing risks or vulnerabilities. The successful candidate will bring extensive experience in conducting assessments, managing complex cases, and providing effective interventions to protect and support children and families.
Responsibilities:

Child Safeguarding Assessments: Conduct comprehensive assessments of children and families to identify safeguarding concerns, risks, and vulnerabilities.

Care Planning and Intervention: Develop and implement robust care plans and interventions, working collaboratively with multi-disciplinary teams and families to address safeguarding issues effectively.

Risk Management: Proactively manage risks and take appropriate actions to safeguard children from harm or abuse, ensuring a child-centered approach to safeguarding.

Case Management: Manage and oversee complex safeguarding cases, ensuring timely and appropriate interventions, and providing guidance and support to junior team members.

Collaboration and Multi-Agency Working: Collaborate effectively with external agencies, healthcare professionals, law enforcement, and community resources to provide comprehensive support and protection for children and families.

Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate and detailed records of assessments, interventions, and outcomes, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.
Qualifications:

Social Work Qualifications: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Social Work or a related field. Full registration with the relevant professional body is required.

Experience: Proven experience as a Senior Social Worker with a specific focus on child safeguarding. Comprehensive understanding of relevant legislation, policies, and best practices.

Assessment Skills: Strong assessment and analytical skills, with the ability to identify risks and vulnerabilities in children and families effectively.

Leadership Skills: Demonstrated leadership abilities, with the capacity to oversee complex cases, provide guidance to team members, and contribute to the development of safeguarding strategies.

Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, enabling effective collaboration with colleagues, families, and external stakeholders.
