An exciting opportunity has arisen to work for one of the expanding express parcel carrier companies in the UK. The role is a NEW BUSINESS SALES EXECUTIVE role based at our clients BIRMINGHAM site with a focus on New Business Sales within the Express Parcels industry with a monthly rolling target of £4,500 a month.

The Area is covering ST, WS, WV, B and WR postcodes

£34,000 to £38,000 Basic salary plus car/car allowance and 25% commission paid on revenue

Job Summary:

Overall Purpose of Role – To ensure that their home Depot exceeds its revenue budget, by:
– Exceeding their personal new business budget/target
– Managing the customer base with relevant Depot colleagues to ensure minimal attrition
– Building close and effective working relationships with a network of contacts within prospective customers
– Identifying and qualifying customer opportunities for new product sales
– Developing and broadening relationship with existing customers while identifying and qualifying opportunities for new product sales

Main Responsibilities:
– Work with the Depot General Manager, Regional Director & Regional Sales Manager to implement the sales strategy and business plan for the Depot
– Define target list of customer prospects based on clearly defined criteria that maximises return for our client
– Achieve and exceed personal and Depot targets in line with budget
– Working with the Depot General Manager to manage customer relationships by engaging in personal ownership of the customers
– Demonstrate strong knowledge of the product portfolio and all associated features and benefits and to tailor those benefits to the needs of the customer
– Track performance of accounts, opportunity and scope to build and maintain customer relations
– Submit accurate and timely sales reports
– Attend team meetings and contribute as necessary on own individual performance, prepare for manager review meetings and complete sales activity reports accurately and on time
– Use the sales tools in line with the agreed sales process to maintain and develop sales pipeline and customer information

New Business Sales Executive – BIRMINGHAM
– Salary £32,000 to £38,000 depending on experience plus a lucrative commission scheme OTE potential £20k TO £40K plus on top of basic (this is minimum providing target of £4,500 new business rev per month is met monthly)
– They would prefer a Parcel, Haulage, Pallets or Feight background if possible but will consider Industry related, switched on individuals
– Would like people who can profile and put a quote together themselves
– New business hunter with an ability to manage the top 20 accounts at the Depot

Knowledge, Skills and Experience
– Extensive experience within either the Parcel, Pallet, Freight industry or Retail, FMCG sector
– Strong sales skills (prospecting, qualifying, networking and campaign management)
– Detailed understanding of sales process and demonstration of world-class sales rigor, hunger and determination
– Proven track record of closing major opportunities. Professional sales and negotiating training
– Proven sales ability with historic success at exceeding new business targets, whilst excelling at customer retention through professional account management, development and planning skills
– Excellent presentation skills
– Problem solving abilities; able to facilitate discussions
– Able to travel within designated territory and able to work with the minimum of supervision
– Microsoft skills (Excel, Word, Email, Access, Power Point)
