Our client provides residential accommodation and support for vulnerable children with the aim to offer children safety, fun and laughter throughout their experience within the home.
The focus is on tailoring support to the individual child’s needs and ensuring each child is listened to and provided 2:1 care and support.
They are looking for compassionate and dedicated Senior Residential Support Workers to join their team in providing a friendly, therapeutic environment allowing the child to feel safe to explore their individual emotions.

This is a full-time permanent position and full flexibility is required.
Standard hours will be worked across 7 days, 1 day on (7.30am-10.30pm) followed by 2 days off). Sleep ins will be required.
Responsibilities include:
- Ensure that high levels of emotional and physical care, appropriate activities, comfortable accommodation and the service of keyworkers is planned, provided and applied in accordance with the Home’s Procedures and Strategies
- Running the shift and being point of call
- Working through the child’s risk assessment and responsibility of decision making within this
- Promote and model PACE and lead a team on a day-day basis
- Ensure the homes documentation is complete, accurate, and kept up to date in accordance with policies and procedures
- Provide care and support to children within a residential setting on a 2:1ratio
- Assisting with all daily living activities
- Providing emotional support
- Ensuring the safety and well-being of the child
- Organising and coordinating activities / days out to engage the child
- Ensuring safeguarding and health and safety procedures are adhered to at all times
- Other duties as required
Requirements:
- The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 1 years’ experience in a Senior Support role within a residential setting (ideally working with children and young people)
- Relevant qualification in social work, childcare or a related field (ideally to Level 3 in Children and Young People’s Workforce)
- Experience of working with vulnerable people, including dealing with safeguarding and wellbeing issues
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a proven track record of dealing with people on all levels and from differing backgrounds
- Ability to work on own initiative
- Good working knowledge of safeguarding requirements
- Full UK manual driving licence
Due to the nature of this role, an enhanced DBS check is required.
