Protiviti are seeking to engage a dynamic and experienced individual on an interim basis to contribute to our leading Life Insurance client’s finance team’s success by taking on the critical role of a Senior Regulatory Accountant.
In this position, you will play a key role in ensuring the accurate and timely reporting of financial data in compliance with the International Financial Reporting Standard 17 (IFRS 17). The successful candidate will collaborate with cross-functional teams, leverage their expertise in financial reporting, and drive continuous improvement in our reporting processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- IFRS 17 Reporting: Execute day-to-day activities related to IFRS 17 reporting, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and internal policies.
- Data Analysis: Analyse and interpret financial data to ensure accuracy and completeness, providing insights into variances and trends.
- Collaboration: Work closely with actuarial, finance, and IT teams to gather relevant data and information for IFRS 17 reporting.
- Process Improvement: Identify opportunities for process optimisation and automation, contributing to the enhancement of BAU reporting efficiency.
- Documentation: Maintain comprehensive documentation of reporting processes and procedures for internal and external audit purposes.
- Communication: Effectively communicate with stakeholders to provide updates on reporting status, address queries, and facilitate a clear understanding of IFRS 17 impact.
Requirements:
- Qualified Accountant
- Recent Life Insurance experience
- IFRS reporting
- 10+ years experience
